I only posted the newest set to be a warning, i wouldnt want some one to buy some from the classifieds and pay for vanquish and get china

And buying parts that are rip offs and clearly breaking patent laws makes you what?
Better get these piece of shit scam artist products before gone. Won't be available for much longer.

Makes them a shrewd consumer. :flipoff:

Not like I'm buying these wheels anyway, they're too small for my tastes.

This sort of thing has been happening in China for years.

A consumer with the freedom to choose where his disposable income is spent. When you're the one footing the bill for parts/accessories you can dictate where they're from. Until then, you'll have to live with the fact people have the right to make our own decisions.

...and if they (the Chinese) cared at all about "the hammer coming down" they wouldn't be selling knock-offs to begin with.

Fox News, AutoEvolution, The Auto Channel as well as others have been reporting on these clones since 2006 and possible earlier.

From what I'm reading, it seems if you don't file patents in China, then it's fair game to be cloned in China.

Brits Cry Foul Over Chinese Car Clones

AutoEvolution web site said:
Are they allowed to sell it? They are. Can Ferrari do anything about it? No, they can't. How's that possible? In order to block a blatant copy of one of their models, the original manufacturers must register patents on Chinese soil, which are different from all the others they filed in other regions of the world. Obviously, many carmakers have already learned their lesson right now, so they act accordingly.

These would make excellent spares! I always hate paying an arm and a leg for a 5th wheel, or finding somebody to split a set with

Noticed this on the hole design. Only 4 screws hold it together.

Statistics say, 8 confirmed buys in this thread and few temptations here and there.
Considering they are selling for $47

8 x 47= $376

Considering there are unconfirmed buys out there, the chinese seller could easily go in the 10-20 k turnover in couple months. I could not see the ebay links..but will update internet statistics as soon as I lay my eyes on em:D

i got my set and they are good in as delivered form. got extra hardware with them too, 1 extra of each screw in each wheel package.

i am looking at a previous post, i dont know how it would be possible to reach 20k in turnover on a $40 knockoff product...that many people arent buying this stuff

Those seem like a pressure die cast product. To get something pressure die cast, one has to get atleast 1000 quantity cast so as to be financially viable. And there is anodising, machining, hardware + labor, handling, shipping cost in that price. I am sure these wheels are manufactured in a large quantity to be profitable.
Even if they sell 250 sets (1000 pieces) across the world they still hit a $11750 turnover. They can wait a whole year until stock finishes...and selling 250 quantity of sellable product is not hard;) There is a reason they copied VP Methods.

A powertool dealer near my workshop told me a non branded 450watt drill machine comes for $5.45 from china:eek: I could not believe it and he showed me documents. Their manufacturing cost is suprisingly low due to mass production.

I fully understand the math I just don't understand the practical application selling $20,000 worth of these wheels is a lot of freaking wheels...
