"Cool" find : ) I bought one about 3 winters ago, stuck with the nitro (wanna sell your engine after you switch to elec' ?, lol). I put an electric starter and use an easy-start wand on it. I call it "Vanessa's Ice-Box".

I still need to finish up the body, get some paint on it, and so on... It gets shelved most of the time in the summer (stole a servo from it in spring to put in my boat), grass gets tangled, but they're a blast in the snow.

I use abrasion resistant rubber strips that are about 4 mm thickness u shaped on my tracks and drive it on asphalt concrete snow etc. Yes I will be putting up the motor and transmission for sale.

Yeah, the metal tracks are about as wild on concrete as they are on ice, but they seemed to improve the snow-motion. It took me a bit to figure out the body-stretch and the "cab-over" set-up for fuel/starter access.
I'm surrounded by grass and gravel and the 'Cat doesn't really like either of those (it likes to pick up rocks and grass)... so, I spend the summer running my trucks and boats and break the Ice-Box out when the snow blows in.
Let me know your price for the motor when you're ready to sell it.

OK will do I'll probably include all the parts I pull off. I'll try to get a video of this one or mine with the strips. On the plastic tracks they work very well. I probably have 30 miles on this set. How fast / well have your metal tracks held up? I want some but, we get Maby 3 inches of snow a year.

I'm about to start the tear down so I can install bearings and begin the conversion to electric. Still waiting for the mail lady!

This is gonna be a neat build. I've never gotten the chance to run one of these before. If you are saying they do good in the snow maybe I should look into one considering all the snow northern Indiana gets

They are awesome in snow! Hit up u tube for a few videos a member on here has some awesome ones! his name is 4mods. Watching his videos made me buy one.

It electric now! I've got to solder on the motor leads and cut off the moldex connector. Now in waiting for team blue groove to make me a new body. I'm saving the minty new one. Yes it's chain drive, these things are very fun to trail run with. I'm going to put in a Holmes hobbies motor I just haven't figured out which one.

Here is the parts list so far. I opened two sets of tracks one I attach the rubber strips to for trail runs crawling concrete etc the other is for scale looks / extras

I've finished all the soldering and ordered some scale accessories today (jerry cans, cooler, winch etc. I'm waiting for the body, it's being made in Canada by team blue groove as we speak. I goofed and ordered the bearings from China (slow boat toot toot). I also finally found the avid brake pads and ordered them. I'm hoping to Try to do a styrene body for my blizzard later this year and add a servo winch. I want to make it look like an old shop truck. This one is for my 4 yr old so he gets brushed power!
