I have had an SCX24 and didn't think it was all that. I notice not many on here talk about the Kyosho. Is the extra cost the barrier for most or is there something wrong with it? I really enjoy my MR03 Mini Z on my indoor track and they have been very reliable.

Yeah the batteries are kind of a deal breaker for me.

Tires are crap (tread/lugs are like 1mm tall), fitting 1" tires doesn't look like it'll work as the y simply wont fir their bodies. Some of the parts are designed in an odd way so swapping and modifying it is made more difficult. I see Kyosho has released some parts like shocks, wheel hubs etc. that fill the void a bit but the SCX24 is so much more customizable at this point.
