LCC MOA down on power.

My Losi is way down on power all of the sudden. I have Mamba Max, HH hand wound 35t, CC BEC and Hyperion vxg3 1100mah 3s battery. If I hold a tire I can stall the motor even at full throttle. This all started after a full day of crawling. This setup worked great with almost no stall and no high temps. I tore down both axles and lubed them up. The worms looked to be in good shape. I also pulled the rear motor apart and it looks ok. Is my battery starting to die I me or what eles can you think of? Thanks for any help."thumbsup"

Edit: The rear has way less power that the front. I also have a Punk Dig

It's not your motors or your speedo, It's the Lipo. Do what I do run a 4s. Almost all of my clod stall is gone and has plenty o power. The 3s will do good but not as great as the 4s. IMO

I never had a stall problem, it just lost a lot of power. I changed the motors front and rear and the problem is in the motor. My friend has a motor lathe and we are going to cut the comm.

I have 2 pack that are the same, but one is a bit older than the other. I have the same problem with both packs.

The speedo got hot when I first did the moa, but I now have a fan on it. It hardly gets warm to the touch now, and it never got over 130F.

Mine got to 130F over a month ago, I just think the motor needs a little work. I hope thats all!

Does one motor stall more than the other? If so I would try to swap them

front and rear, than see if the same motor has the same stall. That is

your bad motor. It happened to me be for on a HH motor, HH replaced it for

me and everything worked perfect again.

How old are the motors? I would just check the brushes and comm on the motor first. No need to remove them from the axle for that. I think the 35t might be a little underpowered for a heavy moa, and could be drawing more amps than normal, causing premature wear.

I flipped the motors and the stall stayed with the motor. Me and a friend cut the comm today and it made no change. I guess I will talk to HH and see if I can get a new one. Thanks for the help.

The comm took about .004 to cleanup, and I cleaned the brushes and still low on power. I think I have about 20 hours or so in the motors. My Losi is under 6lbs RTR.

A friend of mine runs HH 45t on a berg, the brushes have given him trouble from about day 1. They stick and his motor almost quits working all together. But it sounds like you've had them apart plenty of times.
