Why should marijuana be legalized for medicinal use?

Well for a multitude of reasons. For one scienctist will be able to conduct studies to determin weather or not medicinal marijuana could be used to possibly cure cancer and not just help with the side affects of chemotherapy and the pain involved as well as if it can help cure other known diseases. Due to the fact that it has been illegal for so many years very few studies have been able to take place. We do know from people's own words that madicinal marijuana can help those with eating disorders. People with reacurring headaches and migraines, it can help those who have trouble sleeping at night and can also help regulate the pain involved with chemotherapy as well as other cancer treatments. For these reason I beleive it should be legalized for medicinal use.

That's probly what I would say to someone had they asked
Me that same question. Did I miss anything? I think that was a relatively good answer.

Back in my hophead years, never cared much whether or not cannabis was legalized for anything... As long as it was available. After seeing a family friend go through chemotherapy, I'm definitely for it to ease the effects of cancer treatment. In a few states you only need a buck fifty to get your license to smoke away your knee pain, enjoys it.

Curing and easing pain are very different things...

My late step-father-in-law was doped up with morphine for three years while he was battling cancer. That is harsh shit when taken for that long. Didn't do anything for his appetite either.

My sis-in-law was prescribed methadone to help with the pain associated with her crones and lupus. If you don't know, methadone is what they give heroin addicts and is more potent than morphine.

Either of those people would (or would have) greatly benefited from marijuana.

To the recreational user it doesnt really matter if it legal or not. Besides going to jail if you are caught (depending on the amount). People will smoke it either way. Let's think about how dangerous it can be from buying from someone you have never met before though. For one you don't know the person and you may have to walk to his car or a succluded place for your deal to go down to avoid the police. Alot can happen there with noone to see. Now let's look at the product. Granted laced marijuana is a rarity in these days (for me at least) but there is always the possibility the person you bought from may have just wanted to try something new and sprayed some untested chemical all over the
Buds you just bought from him. Again I've never had anything remotely close to this ever happen to me but it is possible. Now when you take marijuana off the street and put it in regulated and taxed dispensaries then you don't need to worry about that. Of course if your supplier is a close friend you don't really
Need to worry about it either but shit can still happen. Here's another plus about it being legal. Dealers will have competition so in order to keep themselves in business they will have to lower their prices. Competition means competitive prices.

Ya. Like I said I've never had anything laced but I'm sure there are some
Out there who have. It's not unheard of. Jus sayin. The chances are very slim though.

But, who's to say there isn't pesticides or some other nasty chemical on the weed from the grower.
and thats where things get complicated if it were to be legalized..right now being quazi legal in some staes there arent any regs about, contaminates, purity..etc but if legalized there will have to be regulation..legalization is not gonna happen any time soon, best to be hoped for is decriminalization and that will continue to be state to state.
to the op if one was to go around selling braclets and infoming the public..provide some hard fact, print up some info to go along with the braclet..list positive benefits, show the negatives..show how the positive outweighs the negative..healthwise and legalwise..and look presentable and professional..shave that thing off your chin..lol and get a haircut8)

Bingo. That's a whole other unrelated but related issue. There are "organic" growers however...

JFYI, getting cannabis in cali is like living on a different planet than a lot of other states.

Theres definately some people around my neck of the woods that lace dirt. But its really only an issue if you buy dirt. From what Ive "heard" the exotic is legit, but you pay for it.

Of course no ones going to apply an expensive mainstream drug on top of some bud, but Im sure with the amount of chemicals around these days there are some that could be and cheaply. Obviously the selling point there would be cheaper bud getting you as high as "good" bud.

All of that could be avoided by legalizing and taxing it yes. But, I dont see that ever happening, and even if it did it would be taxed so much that most wouldnt be able to afford it. The majority would go back to buying black market and after a couple of years the govt would probably reevaluate its decision of legalizing it due to low sales.

I think it should be legalized across the board but I do not think it will happen. But as has been mentioned several times in this thread it wont affect anything. People will continue to buy cannabis. I feel for the medical patients but its not like you cant find quality bud pretty much anywhere on the blackmarket. It may be a little bit of an inconvience and expensive but its not like it isnt out there.

I live in Cali, growers aren't hard to find. The "laced weed" thing is a myth, this is America... If you want more drugs you pay.
No its not. You take crap weed spray, sell for top price. The spraying is done across the border so they get more ."thumbsup" The og poster is broke so he will never buy the bracelets to begin with.
