2. Front Hood Battery Placement
3.Glued Rear Gearbox For No Breakage.
4. Roll Cage For Gear And Motor Protection And It Looks Better.
5.Stock X-Mod electric Motor

I started on my own yesterday, and mostly its been just planning. I'm using some big radio shack truck tires, and i'm going to do a portal axle design with a 3 link style suspension. Here's a pic of the layout so far:

ive made tons of lego crawlers, before i got into rc crwalers (for the fact that there a lot cheaper) those thaings are fun 2 ! ill have to remake the one i made that looked sorta like a clodbuster but only with lots of holes lol. i had the links and everythaing!

Although I am working on one that pales in comparison, here is a real Crawler made out of Lego:

It's powered by 5 Lego motors, one steers the rest drive, its 4 wheel drive and 4 wheel steering with a 5 speed transmission and reverse, all Lego parts.

i want to build one of these , but i dont have any legos. so could someone tell me all the parts to build one . i would need everything, mabey enough to build a couple of different types. so i dont run out of pieces

Heres a link to my sorta lego crawler. It uses lego wheels and gears. Made everything myself including the front and rear axles and chassis. Its fully rc.

oh and yoda316 you can find lots of sites that will sell you individual lego parts but there isnt really anyone who can tell you exactly what you will need to make yours. It all depends on what you want it to look like and what you want it to do.

Dude hell yes we have comps. Rubber Bando is the 2003 points champion We are going to start another season this year, but it has been slow to start. Everyone is having freaking babies, people getting sick (cough cough), and so on. Right now, we have maybe 7 or 8 rigs that can compete. We have all the rules laid out, the scoring program working. The best part is this is a sport for BBQing fans. Kick back, let the crawler go while you chomp down on some ribs. Doesn't get much better than that.

I tried using a mindstormers kit but the the computer thing is so darn heavy but i am working on a a tank concept that will kill all the other crawlers.12x12 bABY
