Well a little late on this build up but I still have lots to do.
Using a K2-3L chassis, TLT axles, And a pede tranny...
Thats all I really have for the most part.
Proline 1972 Chevy C-10 body and alot of styrene.:)

Heres a shot of my CB antenna(functional), custom rear bumper(w/ hitch), custom styrene diamond plate tool box(size of a stick pack), and styrene drop bed.

Still lots to do though... Need interior(which I started), front wells, rock sliders, and I think a winch.
Plus all that stuff that actually makes it go.

What do you guys think?

looks good that the chassis I traded off to ya?, how did ya make the bed?
It sure is buddy, I had to do something with it.:)
The bed is made with with a couple layers for styrene (plastictruc). corrigated siding, I think. Ill show some other photos in next couple days of the bed.

it doenst look like he can with the bed being that low. looks really good tho :)
sadly thats true, it might just be the way I shot it too. Its almost identical to a scale bed in depth and the way it sits on the frame rails, however I do need to lower the front just a hair though.

Thanks for all the comments and suggestions guys keep em coming."thumbsup"

OH I forgot to mention how I painted it... I painted the inside of this lexan body rust colored, backed it in black, then sprayed the outside of the body red.
I saw a couple builds here that looked awesome when they get beat on alittle, so decided to give it a shoot... we will see."thumbsup"

I have some 'fuzzy' dice for you"thumbsup"

Will this rig be running at the summer finals?

Hell yeah!
I hope so, Im trying real hard to get it done, but I am doing alot of detail work.
so we will see the interior is almost done, and about ready to be painted.
Ill post it up later tonight.
Thanks for all the props guys, much appreciated!"thumbsup"
Means alot coming from you mike!

There are a couple vendors on the site that have alot of scale parts up for sale or you could always try making some.
Or one better, go to KB toys and get some stuff made for gi joes!
... more on that as the build continues.
Well im slow on up dates but should be worth the wait.

So Im thinking about rolling down the windows, what do you guys think?
All the way or half way or not at all?

That thing is friggin sick Turtle!!"thumbsup" Great work for sure. Now I've got a good reason to get Green Bean back up and running.

I "rolled" the drivers window all the way down on GB and left the passengers side up. My vote is to roll the drivers all the way down so the driver can hang an elbow out and roll the passenger's side down 3/4.

Go for the half down look, that would be sweet.
Use rit dye to dye the sliders instead of painting them. Then when they get all scratched up they wont be showing white through.

:idea:Even better, dye the sliders brown with rit dye and then paint over them with black. That way when they get scratched they look rusted like the body!!!
