LJ Trail rig.

I used some aluminum to cover up the inside of the bed. I need to clean it up a bit more but I think it looks a lot better. Also the start of the cage.

Almost done with the cage. it won't ever have quite that big of tire in there but I just wanted to make sure it fits if needed.

You have to have a third hand, or two. You can pick them up on Ebay for cheap.

I just picked one up from ebay 2 sec ago! This should make my life easier. So far whats your rig looking like weight wise? I tried to lighten the rear tire carrier by using brakeline instead of solid rod but as of right now its a little rear heavy. That should change though once i get the electronics in there. BTW where is your battery going?

I'll have to weigh it tonight. It's on the heavy side but not terrible. The cage is all tube, front bumper all rod, sliders half and half.

The battery doesn't fit above the sliders like I was planning so either I can sneak one in between the servo and the motor or I can put it in back under the bed. It's probably going in the back. I run small batteries so size isn't too much of an issue. Hopefully I can finish up tonight with the tube work, paint and assemble tomorrow, and run it Saturday at the UTRCRC event.

A lot of drying paint and a mess. I need to get it together and running tomorrow.

Well now i know what mine will look like. I had the same paint color scheme setup for mine.

All I did was paint the body with Fusion Red Pepper. It evened out the finish nicely and scratches shouldn't show up.

Well, it's done enough to drive tomorrow. I have a bunch of little things to do to it. I love how it's turned out though8)

thats pretty stout, looks like it will take a beating too.
How much does it weigh? man i hope this runs as good as it looks otherwise I hope it runs well, I would hate to see this one go."thumbsup"

Believe me, I don't want to see this one go. It's been too much work. I have a few options for Montana though. I just need to decide what to run.
