Does anyone know of places to crawl in these area that would be in Southern Kalleefornia? I know of a place in Santa Fe Springs Telegraph and Norwalk Blvd. but don't know of any other places.

hey joker,
there are some cool spots around l.a. at lake balboa park, there is a awesome minature version of moab slickrock. more suited to 2.2 rigs, but there could be some challenging lines for a clod as well. there are spots scattered in griffith park that are a lot of fun too. i'll be meeting up with another crawler from this site on saturday to do some crawling at mt. baldy. you are more than welcome to join us. we are still deciding on a time.

Do you guys know if there any good places to crawl near the murrieta temucla area down in southern Cal. The only place I know of is Lytle Creek.

And also is there any friggin people down here or is it just me, cuz i want to start some competitions down here

have you not been reading the other so cal threads? there is a group of 3 of us that have been getting together for crawls on a semi regular basis. check out the threads below and we would love to have more people show up!

what treads below
and where exactly do you meet
and what rules do you you guys have

just search the so cal meet threads in this section, the 'get together' forum

we meet at lake balboa park, mt. baldy, and mt. wilson. bet we are willing to crawl anywhere in so cal. post some pics of your local crawl spot.

we don't have enough people yet for a competition, but when we do, we will follow rules that are already established by some of the other rc crawler clubs on this site.

we are having a get together on sunday october 2nd at mt. wilson. there is a thread on this page with a link to a map. be there!

I hear that Lytle Rock is a great place to go crawlin. I read a review on it in a mag a couple years ago. Its only about 40 min outside of the murrieta Temecula area.
Sorry but on aug 2 im goin to be out at the desert doin full scale and small ofroadin. I just hope there are some good places to crawl out in akotillo wells.

I have also been workin in my crawler. I just finished painting it bright orange and crome. Its got perfect artic from what ive seen and it looks sick. The only thing is that i need one of those Tower Hobbies gear reduction units. Would any of you happen to have a used one i could buy for like 5 bucks cuz thats about all i can get
If so it is greatley appriciated.

My rig is a funky hybrid. x factor axels jugg tranny maxx shaftys with a custom solid bar "tuber" chassy. Whats really crazy is that i managet to fit cut savage tires on x factor rims that are cut to less than 3/4 of an in. Ill try to get a pic

Hey , sorry i couldnt make it on Sunday its a little too far to go for me (300mi), but if you guys wanted to set up a meet at Lytle Creek i could do that. I did get to test my rig for the first time and it doesnt work: steering went out, no tourque, and no limiter straps. So more work to do i guess

i just checked yahoo maps. it was about 85 miles to los angeles from murrieta, so about 100 miles or a little less to mt. wilson. i agree that is still far, but how did you come up with 300 miles???

My dad told me it was about 300 miles. you might have also checked direct mileage not road mileage. But anyways please tell me if you guys have a free weekend when you would like to go to Lytle Creek if its not too far for you guys.

no, that was 'road' milage. when you look up directions on yahoo maps, it tells you what roads to take, therefore 'road' milage.

if you can, shoot some pics of that crawl spot near you. it will generate more interest in having a get together there.
