Losi 1/10th Roller

So how come there hasn't been any videos on this rig. I think there was one early on but can't seem to find it. I know the team drivers have been competing and testing with them for a while. I can't believe there isn't any video of them in action. Maybee there are orders not to post any vids or something. Come on Rich, there has to be some recent footage of these things in action, lets see it. How about a video of the dig in action like other manufacturers do. Show us how awsome it will be and how smooth it works. We have all been on the end of the string along time waiting for this great new truck. Give us something to keep our hopes up.

Hmm, I must think on getting some imperial tools. This machine looks too good to miss it. Thanks for Your answers.

Hands tied on this one. Once we had the production worms and shot the video, the timing couldn't be worse for our media dept. They have/had something like 4 shows plus I believe they only have 1 or 2 people producing the videos for us so we're stuck between boats, planes, heli's and even the new 8's took precedence on us. I'm hoping that we'll have something by next week.
As a teaser, Jake Wright was pulling some killer lines and hopefully they'll be good on the vid.

Rich

Thats good to hear Rich. Thanks for the quick response. You have done an excallent job on keeping us as up to date as possible. Can't wait to see some video.

Jake those vids are cool more please when you get a chance! I def. Want one of these I am not in a hurry to get it just yet I'll let it be out for a few months, that will give me some time to save $

As already answered...yes they are SAE and yes I know what your thinking...why? This was a decision I made early on in the project and just missed it. In hindsight, Metric would have been better, but it's to late to make the change now.
Thanks for your interest,
Rich
well for anyone who has been running Losi stuff for years they have always been SAE as far as any 1/10 electric goes.
ive had the complete wrench set for 15 years now so i have an excuse to buy new one since they are well worn LOL.
i also have umpteen billion screws that will fit already in stock

Ok here's a crappy cell phone video. I tried to get the sound to work but no luck.
This is a quick 11 sec video clip from the same day we shot the actual vid for the site. I'll pressure some more to try and get the full vid up this week.
Thanks,
Rich
EDIT:
Sorry, tried to upload it and it wouldn't play, I'll give it a shot again tomorrow.

Hey Rich,

can you tell us what material was used for the worms? It's the aerospace tool maker inside of me that wants to know. :-P

Hey Rich, will the 21.5 be available in a combo soon? And what would be a better motor for the crawler the 17.5 or 21.5? If the 17.5 would be better I can get one ordered from Corey this week and have it ready when my package arrives "thumbsup"

Is there a reason the xcelorin systems are not sensored/sensorless combined?...

http://losi.com/Electronics/Motors_ESCs.aspx

It is kinda like wanting an engine that can burn diesel and gasoline. It is not going to happen unless you start swapping out some components. Each system, sensored or sensorless, contains parts that the other does not have. To truly understand why there are two controllers you need to spend some time researching how a brushless ESC works, specifically how they determine the rotor position.
