Losi Xcelorin Sensored ESC/Motor Combo for the MRC!

Agreed x2
I agree x3. I have had trouble with steep downhills. I tried 80 or 90% throttle with 100% drag brake and high accel. and I seemed to be able to control it better. That is low speed downhills at least. still had plenty of throttle when I needed it.

I have mine set at 90%, and its perfect for the weight and gearing in my rig.

I will talk with our electronics guy and ask about getting a custom setting added into the programming for the crawler ESC's

The problem I have with 90% is in situations where you've got a steep uphill (or downhill) with a side hill and you're trying to stay put and wiggle the tires to slide you sideways. At 90% you have to find the right throttle to hold you're position while you do the wiggle.. I had to take a couple of reverses during a comp trying this.. Not that it can't be done, I just didn't have the timing down to do it.. would have been easier if the truck would have held it's position while I got off the throttle..

I will say that I comp'd this last weekend with it at 100% and only once was the hard drag brake an issue.. But then you learn how to drive out of that too...

I suppose if you know what it's going to do, then you know how to compensate for it.. Driving.. Hmmm.. Novel concept.. "thumbsup"

I'm still lovin the combo.. The more I drive the more I get used to it..

I like mine,, I think at 100% the drag brake is very useful. I tried 90% and ..yea I agree I prefer that the vehicle stop when I let go and If I want it to still move a little,, I'll just pull the trigger a little.. try using the throttle trim if you aren't that dexterous
