love these nuts!

wow...you know what...ive been getting friggen ripped off for 3mm hardware at the hardware store. I just priced stuff at mcmaster.com (that other site diddnt have 3mm) and just realized how much more im paying. :evil:

man, im literally feeling sick to my stomach :evil:

the locknuts arent available from mcmaster...i thought htey were no longer available anywhere
 
I hate those tamiya nuts. They are all over the TLT. Lock nuts are so much better. I couldn't get the tamiya nuts to stay on, I had to use locktite, and then I couldn't get them off. :evil:

use-enco, I will have to look into them for my hardware purchasing needs.

And yes, its ridiculous how much 3mm hardware is at hardware shops. Its like $.20 more per screw compared to 4-40 and other english screws!
 
Yup...the only way to get regular nuts to stay on is to use loctite and then its a PITA to get them off. Nylock nuts are great, they never come loose and its much easier to remove them.

That's funny, cause that's where I get my 3mm stuff. They got all the cap screws and such, but for some reason they don't carry the nuts though.

Jay, where's that local supplier at? I'll get the 3mm lock nuts from them so I don't have to pay shipping from two online vendors.
