Dude on my dirt bike in SoCal!!!
Mamba Max + BRUSHED motor = no breaks

CRAP typped BRUSHLESS for a title.... but i ment BRUSHED!

OK i love my mamba max, its great for my brushed motors. Problem is if i just touch throttle lever to the brake side after comming off of full throttle... the motor just stops... no braking effect, usually endoing my crawler if im running my trail motor. I dont like a drag break as i like to be able to change the breaking effect... I obviously cant get around the inherient brushed motor breaking when no voltage is applied but i have tried drag breaks and never gotten ust to them.

Here are my settings (throttle and brake curves are perfectly linear and im running the latest firmware)

EDIT: just went and changed the Forward to Break to Reverse to Forward with reverse lockout... and i got breaks ... but reverse lockout sucks if ima bout to flip backwards....

increase your throttle deadband a little and see if it helps the endoing:?:

You need 100% brakes to have brakes. Otherwise it will just jam in reverse. I suggest 100% brakes, reverse, drag, and leave it forward to brake to reverse.

OK well i tried what you said JRH and didnt really like what i got it still goes into reverse comming off of a full throttle run when the motor is spinning in its forward direction at pretty high RPM's... (tried with and without drag brake and the same happened)

I like 100% brake when i have the controler set to reverse lockout... its the perfect amount of break, its just id like to be able to slow down with 100% brake like when in reverse lockout, and when the motor gets very close to 0 rpm's go into reverse.

yup tried that too... no effect

This is how the car acts with 100% brake 100% reverse 0 drag brake

Ill floor it with my 27t motor in it... it gets up to top speed then i quickly move the throttle to barly on the reverse side and the tires instantly lock up thus either making the crawler to a 4 wheel skid stop (if there is not much traction) or completly endoing.

There is essientally no braking zone, the motor can go from full forward to full reverse without any slowing down period even if loaded.
