Mamba Micro Pro ~ Scaler use.

Old thread, a few new questions......

1.9 build on the bench, and I am VERY pinched for space.
Was going to run a Goat 3s system I have, but it definitely will not fit.

I have both a Mamba Micro Pro and a Quark 33 Procar sitting around also.
I know the Quark is brushless only.
I am considering running a 400-480 sized, stubby outrunner. Or maybe a Holmes 454 if I stay brushed.

  1. If you had a brushed and brushless motor that was close to the same KV, will the efficiency differences or anything else, affect how much current is pulled through the ESC?
  2. Is it the heat from too many amps that kills the fets on an ESC?
  3. If you run brushless versus brushed, does it change how the fets are loading up?
  4. The mamba is not really 'amp' rated. If running the same brushless motor, is it about equal to the Quark (33amp)[older technology]?
