Hi - I just got the CC Mamba Monster X ESC to go with a Tekin Pro4 HD motor for my 1/10 YETI.

Is the sensor wire that comes with the Monster X ESC long enough to reach the sensor port on the Tekin Pro4 HD?

Just trying to have everything I need when I do the install. I noticed Holmes Hobbies has long 7" Monster X ESC sensor wires for sale.

Thanks

My MMX didn't come with a Sensor Cable. The mmx is only Sensor capable you need to order the sensor harness separatly.
I don't know If the harness came with Cable.

Your motor will come with a 6" sensor cable

HANG UP AND DRIVE !

Yes the Pro4 HD Motor came with a regualar style 6" sensor cable but the Mamba Monster X ESC has a different "special" sensor plug in. So the MMX ESC sensor wire (which is mega short) that I bought for it has two different ends.

Thank you for the reply!

I am sorry, you are correct, the CC Mamba Monster X ESC didn't come with the sensor wire I bought it separately. However, it is extremely short, and a regular ecs sensor wire (like the one that comes with the Tekin Pro4 HD) will not work because the MMX esc has a different style sensor wire plug in.

Thanks for your reply!

The reason for this has to do with the water resistant coating that the X series has. I guess its easier to accomplish with the board having pins for a sensor port and using the adapter harness than having a sensor port right on the board like the MMP.

I use a Micro X and R412...took me a sec to figure it out but luckily my lhs had the harness.

You will need either the castle adapter or my adapter, for either mamba monster or micro X controllers. MMX controllers purchased through Holmes Hobbies come with my style adapter for free.

The Castle adapter plugs into a standard sensor wire, so there are two sensor wires and three plug junctions with that choice. My wire adapts from the MMX into the motor directly, getting rid of one plug junction and one sensor wire.

you still need this "adapter": Castle Creations X Series Sensor Harness to connect the sensor cable to the MMX.

Oh!!! I see... that is an adapter (I guess that is why it is so short). I assumed, wrongly, that it was a sensor wire with the correct ends.

This is what Mr. Holmes explains but I didn't quite understand. Well... glad I purchased the Holmes Hobbies sensor wire so no adapter is needed.

Thank You DenisLM ! "thumbsup"
