Marijuana legalization

HMM,,,,,,, I WONDER WHAT A BUNCH OF DRUNKS WERE TALKING ABOUT DURING PROHIBITION :flipoff:
Probably about how much tax free money they were making because the government was being stupid.. Well that would just be the smart drunks that were selling and making the booze... The regular drunks were probably just talking about stupid shit that makes no sense just like all drunks do..

Making weed legal is a loose loose for everyone except corporations that will take over the dealers job..

Hell I am amazed with the attack on smoking that is going on right now that they are even wasting time talking about this crap..

IMO they should make it legal (I am not a user).

They are NEVER going to win there so called war against pot. Our government is just going to continue wasting our taxpayers $$$ on this so called war against it. Why not profit from it since its so deeply embedded into our culture.
This way it can be controlled just like alcohol..

Small quantities should be legal.

It just a plant that can be smoked in its natural raw form.

It does not need any processing like alcohol or other.

My class validictorian smoked pot. Used to say it helped him on exam day. Just saying it affects people differently. Some people get stoned, some get high.

I agree with the earlier comment that I would rather be on a road with a 1000 high people driving than on a road with 1 drunk and 999 sober people.

I am in my 30s and I do not drink. I don't like to drink. I don't like the effect of alcohol. Hangovers?!? Are you kidding. Not worth it.

I like my Vapourizer but I can't plug it into my car, so I pre roll a half pack of fat joints before I set out for the day. I smoke ciggs too so I don't care about my lungs. They're my lungs, I'll clog em up if I want.

Why do I smoke da reefer? Why not? I don't abuse it. I just like to partake in some doobage. It doesn't make me stupid. I have a sharp memory. I think it has improved since "high" school. It doesn't make me hallucinate or any other weird shit. It just enhances my mood and makes things just a little bit funnier.

Oh, here is a side effect. Just something I have noticed about myself. I do not have an appetite without it. I can go all day without food. No breakfast or lunch. I'll get off work and have a blast on the way home. Sure gets the tummy grumbling then.

Plants are here for us to use. Just don't abuse them.

You know how now its just a fine for personal possesion instead of a criminal charge? Well it sucks for the pot smoker. Before the cops would mostly turn the other cheek if you were smoking cuz of the record and all. Now they will tear your car apart if they smell it. Just another way for the cops to go for a money grab now.

The worst thing about pot is the criminal record that you get from having it.

Please make it legal. Or how about this just swap it with alcohol. Make alcohol illegal and pot legal.

Thanks for the chance......

i think going to jail is a lose
Yeah kind of a small piece of the puzzle when you think of all the people that make money off you going to jail :flipoff:

Plus all the people that make money saying how bad it is for ya.. there is just to much money keeping it illegal.

What I find is funny, since I became a medi user in canada. Co workers worry that I smoke/vap during work times. They are scared that I might screw something up since I could be high/stoned.

I tell them how is smoking a natural growing plant is any different popping pills from a pharma comapny? Those pills can make my drowsy, screw my memory, lose appetite among other things that are worse for me long term wise, but a pill is legal...

And the main reason for marijuana being illegal is that pharma companies cant compete with a plant, they cant market it. Sure they made a product called Marinol and its a thc knock off, but still not as good as the real thing, a simple plant...

Laws have never stopped anyone from doing anything. Do what makes you happy and do it responsibly. Legal or not some people wil continue to use cannabis just like the last 2k or so years.

This argument is such small potatoes in the grand scheme...

It has been used in China and India for way longer than that. ;-)

One of my favorite parts of "the Union" is the clip of Ronald Reagan talking about the dangerous effects of marijuana. To paraphrase..."These young people are sitting around, smoking dope, talking, and reading books."

Horrible, isn't it. To know that somewhere out there, young people are getting together, having discussions, and educating themselves without the guiding hand of the government or the church, it must send shivers up their spines when they consider that organized masses of people are starting to see through their bullshit.

Kinda got to agree with your co workers.. I wouldnt want to work next to someone who just popped a handful of Vicodin or downed a bottle of NyQuil, difference is those have a freaking giant warning on the side that says dont be a dumb ass and run chainsaws or drive heavy equipment while under the influence of this drug..

IIRC, a few years ago when there was a boom of legitimate medicinal marijuana outlets in California, the Feds did step in and shut a good number of them down. Legal on the state level, but not on the Federal level.

Its still booming, there are dispensaries popping up all over the place.

yet they collected taxes from some of the dispensaries, state and federal

Funny how the feds still see this as illegal, but have absolutely no issue with taking the money. The last year or so, the San Jose area has had a huge increase of dispensaries popping up all over. So many in fact, the city council held meetings to try to limit how many could be open.....So tax time comes around and the city gets nearly 20 mill from all the dispensaries. The issue has been completely swept under the rug. I dont think they could care less what you are doing as long as they are getting paid.

Here we go again with this misinformed argument...

What exactly are you referring too? Besides trimming and drying there really isnt any processing needed.....

Here we go again with this misinformed argument...

I grew with a permit before they changed the rules just add dirt and water dry ,some use minerals doesnt get much more pure than that....I also would be curious to know what your reffering
Dispenseries are required to grow certified organic to boot.

As for the co worker thing,it disgusts me to have people look down and judge for taking our medicine...medicinal users in the most part arent stoners out looking for a buzz its actually the opposite....we want to function without being high as a kite on conventional pain killers...on pot we can function aswell as most sober people, due to our tolerance level.

Its like this on pain killers I have to deal with constant withdrawls every single day like some crack head and be high out of my mind drifting in and out.
No medication means constant blinding pain with no breaks.

Using thc means functioning on a normal level but at the price of still feeling a reduced amount of pain....a sacrafice I take to function.

For all of you against thc,I hope for your sake you never have to trully understand what Im talking about.....taxes...jobs who cares its the thousands and thousands of people it can help that matter...have a little humanity people:flipoff:
