I've always wanted a Wroncho ever since I saw Bender from Axial do his. I loved my Wraith, but I hated working on it because of the cage. The Wroncho solves that problem. I ordered a Wraith steel chassis from BP Custom Chassis. This should be a pretty quick build as I have the majority of the parts already. I'm just waiting on a Honcho body to come. The wheelbase will come in at around 13.5", so the extra cab body will look more proportionate than a single cab like the Power wagon.

The donor......my STRC monster truck. Although the BP Custom chassis came with four crossbraces, the monster truck has 8 of them, 4 square, and 4 round. The crossbraces on the monster truck are anodized red that will be de-anodized and painted if I use any of them.

The electronics and whatnot rundown while we are waiting for the Honcho body to arrive......

ESC: Hobbywing Sensored 120a V3.1 (Although this is designed for racing, it has a crawler profile that is actually quite good) This is replacing a MMP that died.

Motor: Tekin Pro4 4600kv

Servo: Savox 1230

Radio: Spektrum DX4C

Battery: Goldbat 2200mah 3s XT60

Wheels: Axial 2.2 beadlocks

Shocks: 100mm Traxxas Big Bore. Will drop to 90mm if ride height is too high.

Tires: Axial Ripsaw R35. These are surprisingly soft, softer than my Pitbull Komp Kompound Rockbeast tires, but not quite as soft as the Pitbull Braven Berserker Alien Kompound on my TRX-4 Sport. The Ripsaws will do for now.

The tranny and driveline are bombproof. It's running 32p gears. Universals up front. I've beat the living snot out of my Wraith with no breakages...........ever. I so can't wait for this project to be finished.

Nice looking truck. Did you use a scx10 skid? I'm using a Wraith skid and don't know what I'm going to use for rock sliders.

Thanks. Unfortunately I lost all of my information I was going to post for a build thread. I used an scx10 chassis and a skid from vader products and wraith stainless links from incision. Additionally I used some link mounts I found in this forum to allow mounting of the links on the scx10 chassis.

What is your wheelbase on the truck?

Just incase you want the source of the link plates. I got them from TODBLDZ.

Cool project Max! I’ll be following along
Thanks for following along. It's going to be a fun project. Just got the call from my LHS that my body came in, so I'll be picking that up today. Now to figure out a paint scheme. I'll also be painting the chassis rails, and battery tray this weekend.
