Menifee-Temecula area crawlers

Sounds like the club idea is really taking off, that's awesome! :)

My oldest daughter has decided she wants a crawler for her birthday, I'mtrying to push the scale idea into her head but she seems to be stuck on getting a 2.2, maybe the Safari Creeper is a good middle ground. Dunno...would like to stick with Axial, though. Thinking I'll take her out to the LHS and see which one she'd pick. :)

Thats great glad to see your family getting into RC cars. I started when I was 8 and it's been a long fun ride 27 years later. Are you coming out to the new spot on Sunday?

Yeah, I'll be there! Looks like a fun spot. :)

I started getting into RC when I was probably about the same age, 4th or 5th grade, then stopped for a while since there wasn't anything particularly exciting to me. Then the crawlers came around (I've been into crawling 1:1 rigs for about 14 years) and it started all over again. :lmao:

The partial history of my 1:1's. Missing pics of the '64 Scout 80 and '71 Scout 800b, though.

I'd still have the YJ if I didn't hate the desert. The Hammers were fun but the heat, dust and wind sucked! :D

That's cool man. My dad is the one that got me started in 1:1 off-roading. The first hill we climbed in his truck is something I will never forget I was 4 years old. Now my dad, brother and I have ford bronco's mine is a 1969 that I'm going to start rebuilding soon.

Ohh, an early Bronco. That's definitely one I wouldn't say no to, it just sucks that they've gotten so expensive. Coil front with a D44, 9" rear, drop in an NP435 and a 351w or 460 and have some fun! "thumbsup"

Maybe he will let us rent it to take to the king of the hammers.

Haha, if I still had it I'm sure it would be quite different now. I ended up trading it for a boat (Much better suited to living in SoCal :D) like 3 years ago.

Next project is going to be restoring a '70-'73 Camaro with my daughter, plenty of time to get that done before she gets her license...assuming I don't change my mind about letting her drive it.

Restoring the camaro sounds like fun but not the part on letting her drive it. she's a lucky girl"thumbsup"
