I'd like to try Massacre canyon (if the moonies don't run you out of there). Simpson park is probably a good spot, too. And there's the river before you start to go up 74 to Idyllwild.

I am up on Polly Butte, which is off of Gibble Rd. East of State St. (At Domenigoni)

Cool, thats not too far from me. Sounds like you were a safe distance from that last fire. It was pretty much just a few hills behind me. Stayed home hoping not to evacuate, luckily the wind stayed in our favor and we were good.

Ill have to get my trail cleaned up a bit more and have you over.

In order to save some money try some of the tennis clubs they might have some old tennis balls that are no longer used. If buying new try Kmart I think they have the cheapest price the last time I bought some. I hope this helps.
