Back when I was your age that's all we had Either Braze, Silver Solder or arc weld. Heck I used to replace Quarter panels on cars with nothing but Oxy Acetylene and Coat Hangers Then smooth them out with Led. Just takes patience and skill.

I've done every process through schooling :)

Yeah Nemo, that was back in the good old days when, craftsmanship meant craftsmanship. When you actually worked the metal and used non electronic tools. Nowadays they just push a button, that's why nobody knows how to fix their own stuff or even change their own flat tires anymore. Dang sissies:flipoff:
 
I used silver soder on my swaggwagon 1/8 solid tubing I am amazed how well the welds have held up. I drive it like I stole it. mao: All the welds have held their own..

I've heard the 1/8" and the 3/16" solid stuff called piano wire. Pardon my lack of edumacation but how thick do them there piano wirez get?
