Any good welding supply can help you, however I have some brazing rods you can have"thumbsup"

Ickabob is the plate going to hit the driveshaft when you're negotiating the rocks? It looks like it might by the picture that you had taken. Of course my eyes could be playing tricks on me.

It's close but clears, the batterie could slip into the spur gear if its not tighten down hard.
