ICKY...I vote for cutting the plastic motor off and mounting the spare flat on the back of the frame. let it stick out a little past the body. I will make a great bumper and will keep the weight lower.

Right, the motor is way to low and sticks out to far so its got a date with the scissors, the spare will be just as you said.

Hey Bobby, you'll enjoy this: http://www.rccrawler.com/forum/2-2-...-scaler-build-off-entry-ultra-4-rock-bug.html

This dude was at the G6 and drove it around the parking lot, but competed with another rig. Totally sick! He mounted a spare like you told Ick to do.

That's so yesterday:lmao: I watched this build from start to finish, awesome skills he has, I love the look of the tube chassis but wanted to build something I could change the look of from time to time, it would be very hard to do this with a welded tube rig without major work every time. Mine will be close to this great build from Doc.....only better:lmao:

Yeah, I'm only on page 6 of this build thread. Trying to catch up. There's just so much work and detail it's mind boggling.

Right, I can see hopper taking the time to build something like this, he has the mad skills and eye for detail, maybe I will give it a try when I grow up"thumbsup"
