MFD F2 Bodyless Chassis Rebuild

So, after running the new chassis for a few months I'm very impressed with it. the rig it very consistent and predictable. this design is well balanced and has great forward bite. this chassis is a forward bias 60/40 design with a low CG.
well now that my machine is running i'm able to cut CF and so comes the new light weight version. the chassis with skins and AL hardware weighs 75grams (2.67OZs) and is very ridged. this thing is bad @$$. by far my best work yet."thumbsup" I also added a set of MR V. drill press wheels and have the weight of the rig at 5.168lbs RTR.
here's some poser pics.

now im on to some CF beadlock rings. i ran the first two out of scrap 1/16th material and allready see some changes that need to be made but for the most part they came out the way i wanted them to. i have been using my tryangle offset and only three bolts for a couple years now.

here is a pic of the proto type.

That looks sexy in all CF glory. Are the CF skins made from rigid CF sheet?

Also, suggestion o nthe wheels. Since the material is so thin, maybe you should rotate the spoes 30* in relation to the lock ring & hub hardware. My thinking is that oriented that way, the spokes would meet up to the hub and outer ring area where there is the most material, thus making the wheel more durable. The way you have it now, the holes for the hardware is right at the ends of the spokes.

no, it is a CF skin material from dragon plate.

i see your point scorpion king, i will give it a try. when i originally drew the cad for them, it was for an all AL wheel and i was only going to use three bead lock holes. i would have aliminated the holes at the end of the spokes. thanks for the advice."thumbsup"

here you go scorpion king."thumbsup"

Thought I would show off the new style chassis a bit. I watched Mike make this chassis and can't wait to run it this weekend!! Super strong and light. Now I just need to get him to make my custom beadlocks:twisted:
