Mini Crusher Info?

anyone ahve any info on the zap toys mini crusher you get from walmart? there shaft driven and they use a 300 motor but thats all i know,

has anyone found upgrades for them or anyone turn them into a crawler?

I saw a VMG with a mini crusher tranny used as a gear reduction. Seemed rather expensive just for a GD, but it certainly was unique.

My wife knows my adiction to scale crawling, and for fun she got me one of those 'lil mini crushers... it looked totally "cheapo toy" when I first took it out of the box, but when I flipped it over I was flabbergasted to see a genuinely smart, well laid-out suspension. It has both front and rear "live" axles with a flexy (to steal a goofy word from nylint) 3-link type setup and actual driveshafts running from a central "transfer case" output.

AND (in nice contrast to the 1/18 Nylints) it has fully proportional throttle AND steering for only 30 bucks, geez!

It's a hoot to drive inside, but as others here have said, it can't climb ANYTHING. It needs a serious gearing down to be good for anything besides just polishing up your hardwood floor or chasing the cat.

Much longer links front and rear and super soft springs would wake up the suspension - stock, the suspension doesn't have ANY articulation because of springs stiff enough to, well, they just don't allow anything to happen.

Also, the layout (stock) has no 'scale' look at all - extending the wheelbase would not only result in a hyper-articulating suspension, but also a great scale-dimensioned chassis set-up for a nice scale crawler.

it has pretty good artic just needs some softer springs and lock the diffs and a bigger motor and you have a crawler

i will post some pics when i get home okay everybody, in the future i plan on putting a new motor in and lock the fron once i get the front apart. the back is locked and i removed the springs and shocks out of the front about 45-50 degrees with out the front springs is okay. i am going to be doing a scale build up in the future also so keep an eye out in the scale sections.

im looking for a bigger and better motor for mine have any clue where to get one that wont blow the stock board till i get money to get a better board

i just got home so here its-

it is powered by AA's but not for long and what i am going to do is make a custom motor mount and gear reducer to be able to put a new motor in it. also a AA cell battery pack is in order.

4 1/4 of an inch axle to axle6 inch wide

they are very un-scale but that is why i am lengthening it to around 7 inches axle to axle.
