Any word on these?

They kinda disappeared right after they were announced. I'm craving a new RC (something that runs lol) and the mini-Revo might just be what I'm looking for. I have too much crap in my room as is and would like something on the smaller side... or maybe an MRC.... But any news on the mini-Traxxas vehicles?

I'm also really interested in this. the mini slayer looks like it has a LOT of scale potential, depending on the wheelbase and track width specs. I hope they use 48 pitch gears in it, or Mod0.6 so the Novak 1/8" bore pinions will work and thus allow the use of motors like the Align 430L/430XL (high Kv outrunner-in-a-can) or even small outrunners like the Park 370-380. this is assuming the use of a 370-380 motor, which I really can't tell either way from the pictures. I'm hoping for wheelbase and track width dimensions around those of a standard TC, maybe a bit shorter, just so I can take advantage of bodies like the lexan Tamiya brat repro (TC wheelbase), the various off road bodies Parma and Tamiya make that fit a TC (obviously TC wheelbase), or even shorter wheelbase stuff like the Parma blackfoot bodies.
hm, mini slayer, locked diffs, Align 430L geared REALLY low, Mamba Micro Pro, 3s2p of lipo split between two packs (one 3s1p in each battery compartment, assuming the slayer EX uses a e-revo-esque dual battery chassis), SDI trail docs or losi 1.9s on HPI stock car rims, Kamtec Lexan Bowler Wildcat body, remade front and rear bumpers for less overhang and better approach angles, sounds like it would be a nice little trail rig that could really haul the mail if you felt the urge

OR... if it's TC sized, rally car it. Align 430XL 3700Kv, 3s2p lipo split between two packs, any one of the many rally bodies on the market at the moment, HPI rally pins (or Pirelli Ts, depending on how scale you want to go. the Pirelli is a licensed rally tread pattern, ya know) on whatever rims best suit the body, redo the bumpers to better support the body, lower and stiffen the suspension a little bit, then rally it like it's never been rallied before.

yeah, the slayer EX may have potential. if traxxas makes it the same size as a TC. IF

I know, I'm sitting here wondering if a WRC Subaru body would fit. I'd really like a long travel suspention rally car. :D :D :D

I've been waiting and wondering as well. They say February but you would think there would have been some more info leaked by now. It says 1/16 so I'm hoping the body will be sized right to use on my mini inferno. Width is all I'm worried about since I want to make a custom chassis to extend the wheelbase.

Same here 2jsc I have a tc3 w/ semi rally conversion but its not good enough. Has anybody heard anything more on these.

New pics of the minis:

If there isn't any word on the mini Slayer soon I'm just gonna buy a slash, although I don't have much storage space as is.

Release date is like 3/25 I think, I'll check for sure tomorrow. They still haven't released a price though.

BTW, the Slayer will be brushed only, and the revo will be brushless only.

I saw the video from the Toy Fair on these. The specifically say that these are the production versions, so they gotta be coming out some time soon I would think. That confirms my suspicion that the previous ones shown at iHobby (I think) were the rapid prototype versions because the plastic, to me, looked weird on those.

3/25? Sumbitch... The Losi crawler, the SC10 and these are all supposed to be released in March... my bank account is screwed...

When they were first "released" back in October, they said they would "hopefully be out by Christmas"... Liars. :-( Being a full size Slash is $200, I hope the Slayer EX isn't any more than that. The Revo I'm hopping is no more than $250, even then, that might be too much.

Found a video of the running at the German toy fair.

awesome video. i remember saying after i sold all my RC stuff last year that i was only going to buy one truck and that was it. like a junkie saying i will just take one hit. these look pretty cool, maybe you will find a pair of them in my basement in a couple of months

I really want the Mini Revo, but I'm sadly thinking it's going to be over $300 as it's brushless. I think I'd be happy with the Slayer... mod it into a Revo later. :D

I was reading on another forum, I guess the guy was at the toy fair in Germany, and heard around $150-175. Should come with a 6-cell battery and charger and 27Mhz radio.
