I'm also really interested in this. the mini slayer looks like it has a LOT of scale potential, depending on the wheelbase and track width specs. I hope they use 48 pitch gears in it, or Mod0.6 so the Novak 1/8" bore pinions will work and thus allow the use of motors like the Align 430L/430XL (high Kv outrunner-in-a-can) or even small outrunners like the Park 370-380. this is assuming the use of a 370-380 motor, which I really can't tell either way from the pictures. I'm hoping for wheelbase and track width dimensions around those of a standard TC, maybe a bit shorter, just so I can take advantage of bodies like the lexan Tamiya brat repro (TC wheelbase), the various off road bodies Parma and Tamiya make that fit a TC (obviously TC wheelbase), or even shorter wheelbase stuff like the Parma blackfoot bodies.
hm, mini slayer, locked diffs, Align 430L geared REALLY low, Mamba Micro Pro, 3s2p of lipo split between two packs (one 3s1p in each battery compartment, assuming the slayer EX uses a e-revo-esque dual battery chassis), SDI trail docs or losi 1.9s on HPI stock car rims, Kamtec Lexan Bowler Wildcat body, remade front and rear bumpers for less overhang and better approach angles, sounds like it would be a nice little trail rig that could really haul the mail if you felt the urge
OR... if it's TC sized, rally car it. Align 430XL 3700Kv, 3s2p lipo split between two packs, any one of the many rally bodies on the market at the moment, HPI rally pins (or Pirelli Ts, depending on how scale you want to go. the Pirelli is a licensed rally tread pattern, ya know) on whatever rims best suit the body, redo the bumpers to better support the body, lower and stiffen the suspension a little bit, then rally it like it's never been rallied before.
yeah, the slayer EX may have potential. if traxxas makes it the same size as a TC. IF
