modifying lexan bodies?

Ok guys I have question for you. I am about to start up my 1.9 scaler and I want to make it a Jeep Brute since not to many other people have them (if anyone). Ok so for the body I was planing on getting proline rubi body and cutting it in half, my question is how do I close the back half of the body back up after chopping it off? Get a sheet of lexan and glue to make the back window area, or is there a better way to do this? And what do you guys think I should use for the bed? Here is the Brute I am going to mimic.
