G'day,

I am wondering what mods or other parts people have used to get more steering out of the losi? Im going to order the HD worm set for the front as ive read it helps a fair bit.

Stock knuckles are pretty limited. No way around it. Popular upgrade is xr/wraith knuckles and uni shafts. Look up tag kit to see what I'm talking about. No one makes it anymore so you would have to fab up shafts yourself.

HD worms are definitely a needed upgrade asap.

Youngblood showed how to do it using AR60 axles I his build.

Very easy Mod to do and great benefits."thumbsup"

Has anyone really punished an XR Mod Losi axle?
One reason I love them so much on my scalers is the durability. They're absolutely bulletproof in stock form and give 45° steering.

I've just wondered if gaining an additional (useable) 10° of steering is worth the risk of compromising the structural integrity?

Cant speak about punishing one but Id have to think durability is right there with the XR mod.

I would have loved this steering on my old LCC and even a scaler if I had used them. "thumbsup"

But the scalers def take a bigger pounding.

Vanquish XR steering pieces on a Losi crawler axle are bulletproof. But the plastic Losi housing isn't. Breaks just inside the shock/lower arm brackets. Fortunately, they're cheap so trim up a spare.

I just made mine 4ws. It is an easy mod and it gives you more steering than you could ever dream of, without making the cvds sweat.

You can flick a switch on the tx and it cycles between 4ws/fws/crab/rws.

Awesome mod.
