Motor/ESC Setup for AX10

If you want new, a cheap popular ESC around here is the moped Bravo R ESC. Cant go wrong with a integy 55 turn motor. Both can be had for less than 50 bucks shipped if you search around on ebay or google. Check out the other threads here, there are lots of choices for entry level affordable stuff.

I have the Tekin FX-R ESC with the Tekin 55T motor and it seems to do pretty good but does get a little warm on a 3s lipo after a bit. but I think a EBEC should fix that.

Not sure what your idea of inexpensive is but I'm going tomorrow to pick up a Rooster crawler ESC and Novak 55t for my RTR. Total combo price is $110.

I also have the Tekin FX-R with a 35t motor, a 2s lipo 2200 and a Novak 5amp bec. I love the setup, it does it's job. But for now I would say get the FX-R and motor combo."thumbsup"

castle creations sidewinder, and any 35-55T motor for starters.

you can program the sidewinder with the link cable on your pc.

CC sidewinder is cheap for starters, but can also upgrade with new motors and lipo!

Trust Me On This One

I run the Novak 55 turn motor and speed control combo on mine. This was a great price, and performs even better. Hello "RUSTLER HUSTLER"."thumbsup" I've been in several comps and this combo never let me down.
