does anyone know if there is an upgrade kit to switch the mrc to a worm drive set up. i have a micro crawler, and an hpi wheely king that will be getting comp crawler axles very soon, but i still want a mini i just preferr the worm drive over the diff. any help on this will be welcome thanks.

I'm a newbie also, but I'll have to say there is nothing out there I've seen to convert to a worm drive axle. Right now, as far as I know, worm axles are only being offered by Losi for the comp crawler.

and the losi micro

there is no kit available yet

but you would basically be buying whole new axles

so my guess is that if losi is working on 1/18 worm drive axles they will just come out with a whole new crawler

If they came out with a wormdrive kit it would have to come with new axles and a new trans. With worm drive i don't think there is much reduction in the trans. All the reduction is in the axles and that is what makes them have so little torque twist and why they can MOA them. The comp crawler trans is close to 1:1 i would think and the MRC trans is around 30:1. So if you ran LCC axles with a MRC trans it would move so slow it would be useless. I think that is right, anyway?
