A quality crimper will surprise you with all it will do for your wiring.
I watched a number of videos and was told this tool won't work, crushes ends and not worth it. Look around for this by name, I found it for under 15.00 shipped( after I paid more) DuPont connectors ( protek are cheap and good quality )

Good video, shows how easy it is.
Trim insulation back 2mm insert pin and one click to set and hold pin. Push lead in crimp and remove.
I hold it upside down to load, much easier that way !

I bought the same crimper but with yellow handles from Hobbyking. It works well.

I've had a couple sets of Paladin Tools brand for years. Almost identical, and I have about 6 different sets of jaws for anything from coax to insulated terminals to small enough for JST plugs and servo pins. Definitely a must-have if you do much electrical work.

A good crimp is always satisfying feeling "thumbsup"

I use these for work all the time usually on #10s, and occasionally for RC stuff that I don't want to solder. as long as your using the right sized slot it should not hurt the wire. I rock a Pro'sKit Pro-Crimper CP something or other, with the amount of times they mention "pro" it makes you wonder but that company makes good stuff actually.

I have some cheap ones that I never use because they're crap and a pair of these. They're not cheap but are excellent.
