Maybe if the car was 1000 lbs lighter it would be pretty cool. Like it is it just sounds stupid.
the fox body mustangs were about 400 pounds lighter than the current gt. a v6 turbo may work, but not a 4 cyl.I remember driving the old '86 Mustang SVO (another 4 cylinder turbo), a great car. Front mid-engine layout. Good balance, decent power, just enough body and interior variations to be different. But I'm sure that car was a lot lighter than the latest platform.
Sports cars have lost their purity. New cars just have too much crap in them, they are rolling gizmos. We need something like a Lotus Elise that tall people (like me) can fit in. All I need is A/C, power locks, radio and a CLUTCH!
I don't know if its just me, but who is buying a Mustang to save fuel??? Thats just stupid.

Engines have some along way since the SVO turbo 4 in the Fox body. Hell my 4 cylinder turbo makes more power than all of the fox body V8's did...:lmao:
