So it occurred to me since I have the class 1 ticket I should probably build something to compete with.
You can ask any of my local buddies, all I've crawled in the last year and a half is my box stock MRC or a rig I borrow from my buddy Brian.:lmao:
Now the MRC is even taken apart, so I've got to get something going.

So here's a basic plan:
Steel ladder chassis
MRC axles
Proline 1/10 Descender

Well actually that's all I've got for right now. Have a lot to still figure out, and more than a few parts to acquire. So if you all have a sec check out my want to trade scale tube items for list in the wanted section.

Here's the body all cut up nicely

Hopefully the rules committee will be ok with my slightly different cut on the rear fender. Trying to make it look like an actual stock rig modified instead of a comp cut tracker.

Here's what few parts I've assembled for this build so far. Please ignore the 1.9 Tsl's. I had planned on them for a while now, only to finally hold them up to the body and realize no way these were gonna work for class 1. So I'm going with some kind of 1.55, just haven't decided which ones just yet.

Plan to do a full interior, bumpers front and rear, sliders, interior roll cage, possibly roof rack. The actual body I run will be painted by someone who actually knows what the heck they are doing, and builds killer interior parts too;-)

More to come hopefully soon.

I love that body, too bad they are discontinued. Looking good so far, what color are you planning? The trackwidth will look correct with those axles.

nice start dude!!
hope it turns out sick

Thanks. Me too lol

Looks sweet, I like those Tracker bodies. As for tires I think Mud Thrashers would look right at home on there.
I originally thought the same thing, but a deal came along I couldn't say no to.

I do to, owned 2 1:1's. Not really sure on the color yet. Was thinking green and yellow, as I want to have my logo on the doors and hood. Now kind of thinking just yellow.

So not much of an update, but I got a killer deal on some tires from my buddy Aron.

1.55 Crushers. I like them. Feel like a pretty good compound.

As Richard said above, trackwidth...

Scoooore!!!

Now I have a body to send to my painter while I get going using this one for mockup.:badger:

looking forward to this build, I am also using the MRC axles under the wifes Jeep. What mods are you doing to the axles if any??

darn you!!!!

nice find on that body, and those axles look wonderful under there. You gonna beef 'em up? Metal lockers, alum C's, knuckles and whatnot?

Axles will at least get metal lockers, cvd's in the front, stainless axles in the back. Possible all the aluminum goodies as well. We'll see how finances look.

If someone wants one of these bodys this site still has a few, I was looking for some kyosho twin force stuff can came across it :D http://www.discountrcstore.com/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=PRO329740

Edit: RPP Has them too.

Cool, hopefully that helps people out wanting this body.

Looking good Dave. Can't wait to see what you come up with for bumpers

Thanks Nick, I hope they are cool. I've barely had any time to work on it so far. Got too many things going on.

Very interested in how this turns out. I like what you got going. Will there be a dh fab MRC scale chassis in the near future?

Ohhhh you finally started this, Ill be watching you Dave. Thats sounds creepy doesnt it.:lmao::shock:

Oohhh.... RPP care package! I like the looks of this project.

BTW, did Losi ever update the design on those CVD's? I have broken too many of them.

Not to my knowledge...I would just shave the stock dog bones and call her good"thumbsup" Keep the cvd's for somebody else that will need them on the trail when they bust:ror:

I use them on a my little '57 chevy scaler on 3s and like the steering I can get from them. I solved the problem of the bell breaking off of the stub shaft by carefully brazing a "ring" at the base of the bell where it always breaks but can't stop the inner shaft from grenading at the ball. They do last quite awhile though.:ror:
