my first rubi build

like it says.this will be my first rubicon build.

specs are:

proline rubi body
custom chassis(built by me)will be metal
peedy tranny,locked,bearings
tlt axles,bearings,aluminum knuckles
3800 tenergy nimh pack
mg 645 steering servo
lrp esc
3 racing winch
tlt shocks(might grind them down for scale look)
4 link(might go with leafs)i love leaf sprung rigs
55 turn novak
1.9 losi claws and wheels(for now)
tq-3 rx/tx with 3rd channel mod for winch
led's
custom front bumper(built by me)
rear bumper(built by me)
might go with exo(not sure yet)
roof rack(built by me)also
few scale items
more to come i am sure

just bought body saturday,waiting on it now.

Good, old school parts list! I like to see TLTs and Pede gearboxes used.
Is the shelf bracket, "C" channel? How are you planning to bend it?

thanks man.and yes it is shelf bracket material.i am going to try to heat and bend it.if not,then i will cut it where it needs to be bent and then braze it back together."thumbsup"
 
Update.....

well got the body,got it painted,(not happy with the results)but will do for now i guess.;-) and decided to just use my bruiser chassis for it at the time being also.

gotta build the exo/spare tire mount for it now if i can get time between running back and forth to hospital with dad's open heart surgery.:cry:

lmao.thanks man.yeah i cheated a little bit and just put the body on the other chassis for now.will be building one for it asap though.

Rig is really coming together, nice work!

I really like the scale dog you have standing on the edge of the roof. What detail, mom parts and all!
