My MRC PRO Build!

Define real expensive. Lots of people run Axial 8-holes, which I believe are composite, as opposed to aluminum/steel. I wanted something with some weight to it, and couldn't pass up the deal I got on my Dark Souls. $75 is fairly inexpensive if you want aluminum. Check e-bay for them. There's one seller that makes some fairly decent ones, but the name escapes me at the moment.

Edit: I'm running these in silver 2/ black rings on mine.

I think I paid $70 for them new, minus the dowel pins.

That's not tooo bad. I might just throw the rovers when I get then on a stock set of mrc wheels till I find real bead locks I like. Hopefully getting lipos soon to!

Bwd mod locks are only 80$ an help stand ur tire up real nice! They also keep ur wheel from dropping in as many holes, specially with the cobble stone ur crawling.. with CI foams the .5" wheel stands th rovers up to 3.85-3.90" tall.. nice for a lighter rig

I also really like my motoWorx wheels, very high quality, nice for low weight.. as there a heavier wheel

Have you looked up the Epacrawlers by chance? There 1.9 is alive an well.. prez says they will run 1.9 till there aren't any parts left to buy

Ill have to check them all out! Most of the rocks around here is cobble stone. If I go more west into PA there is more mountain there. So many the bwd ones are a good bet!

Yeah, I agree on the rock.. most around here is mountain stone, but the holes an gaps between them is still the same..

As for the Bwd mod locks, I wasn't really sure at first bout them an the inside ring, but after running them a good bit, I have come to like them a lot. The inner ring keeps everything from wodding up an falling into them holes.. The ring inside acts almost like a dual foam an only let's ur tire squish so far but yet keeps the softness of ur foams. Plus they stand the tire up an keeps it tall an skinny, double bonus.

Awesome, bout Epa.. most of the guys are great an friendly.. they run lots of comps, rausch creek comps being the best! Imo.. I don't live close enough to make it to there club comps every other weekend.

I deff think ill be getting the rovers and the bwd mod locks as my set up! Really like how they look. Will the hex ones work for the mrc axle? Or do I need the VP ones? And yea I looked around on there and alot of good stuff. Rausch creek is only 2 hours from me. I live where PA,DE and MD meet up at!

Mmmm... They will fit ur mrc axles... I can get you a measurement of them on a stock mrc axle.. on my lcc modded axle an flipped.. lol.. I have the hex ones myself..

Lcc modded axle with wideners.. just shy of 8"
MRc axle without wideners.. just over 7"
Mrc axle with wideners.. right at 7.75"

I did a little work, shows in my mini mantis thread, an flipped the wheel section with the hex in it. Which I also talked to Don an he had 4 like it. Lol, I already had one done so I kept goin..

These are flipped hex measurements.
Lcc modded with wideners.. 7.5"
Well, that's all that's important.. lol.. its too skinny for The rest..
I only had to flip them for The lcc mod an knuckle weights with wideners... It's just what had to be done to get it all to work.. 7.5" up front an 7" in the rear..

For easiest adjustablity.. I would say vp hubs.. cheaper an easier to find then the wideners.. I'm stuck at 7" in the rear an my front xr/wraith axle is goin to run 8" as it sits now. Ok rant over..

That's sweet, I'm bout the same distance away from rausch.. 1.5-2hrs.. see you there April 27th!

Can I run VP ones with out having to do anything to my axles?

And ill try to be there!

Yep, vp ones will give you full adjustments for front an rear and a set of 4 hubs is bout the same price as a set of wideners, but with way more options. Of course hubs can be cheaper an easier to find. Classified section

If not, there are 4 of them at rausch this year.. one is a Nats qualifier. Should be a great time even if just watching.. more info on that in the PA section..

Where can I find vp hubs new? And ill try too go to a few of them. Went up to rausch creek once to do 1:1 off toadying in my cousins jeep.
