Grump
Quarry Creeper
Looks great"thumbsup" Now that I have seen it, I will have to build one for my micro Losi. Again, Very nice job!
well initially i was thinking that the structure would support itself, think about a bowl upside down, but, i think i am going to cut a piece of 1/2" plywood about an inch larger and then put a shoulder to keep it from sliding off...I'm curious how heavy it is with the mortar too. I'm wondering how the cardboard base will stand up to being moved several times.
Cool idea though!
i would guess the cardboard base and foam weight a couple of pounds... i used almost a 60lb bag of mortar, so i would guess around 60lbs... i definately could see building a few "islands" out of foam and fiberglass and cover it w/ truck bedliner... i have alot of 'glass, but it would cost alot more on a large scale... but it would be WAY lighter... someone had a good idea about some casters, i might mount them on one end of my plywood and cart it like a set of hand trucks... i would want the island so that i could move it easy to create news lines...any guess on the weight?? i like this idea. a person could make several of these, and fit them together to make one large course. would be easier to store, and not near the work of dragging the rocks into the shop during the winter!
Check out some of these and show her the ones you think might get the nod as a good idea...........I did and it worked "thumbsup"That's awsome. I'm trying to convince the wife to let me build a course in the backyard but she aint having any part of it.
better to ask forgiveness than ask for permission...:mrgreen:Great work.....looks like fun as long as the wife isnt around to see the kitchen!!
