Well, since I'm relatively new to the forum I thought I'd post up some build pics of my first off road rig that I managed to build before I moved on to bigger scale. First up is my 1955 Chevy Nomad trail truck

here are the pics:

and my precious cargo, a few sleeping bags (they are in the box) and a cooler for the cold ones

everything was hand built, the cage, the front bumper (both styrene made), the cargo was made from scratch parts found laying around, the shifter was made by a friend of mine, the lights are tucked in inside the faux engine block to hide them from view, all I needed was a winch but I ran out of room. wish I had it still though, sold it a long time ago. but it was a blast to drive, the motor was a hand wound 65T 130 size motor as these guys are 1:28, the body is from a nomad model kit 1:24 that I custom fitted, I got better at it, but don't have pics of rigs, just cars, this was my first true off roader Tell me what you think.

if you want build pics let me know I can post them up.

that looks very familiar! i know i've seen it somewhere i just don't know where. i myself have quite a few xmods, they are responsible for getting me into the rc hobby. now i just need to sell them to get more crawler stuff :lol:

sweet rig man. I am converting an X-mod into a crawler. where did you get all those parts, I cant find anything. I'd love to see some of your pics to man.;-)

BTW this is not JUST a RC crawling site, people here love cars and trucks, onroad and offroad. So feel free to post some pics of the rest of your fleet."thumbsup"
