nascar is the most rediculous form of racing out there.... jia's dad you are exactly right.
it baffles me how they fail to build a safe car when the open cockpit cars of f1 and other forms of racing have no issues keeping drivers safe.
secondly they refuse to adopt any modern technology in the construction materials.
goodyear has been pretty much laughed out of every form of motorsports except nascar due to the fact that they cant build a reliable race tire yet nascar has them as the "official tire"
they refuse to race in the rain when everyone from karts to superbikes do
oh and if they have to turn right they all start bitching and moaning like girls

By these terms, wouldn't NHRA have to be the most ridiculous form of racing out there? I mean, those guys can't turn either direction, don't run in the rain, have a hard time keeping driver's safe, and their car's are much further behind NASCAR in terms of technology.

Now the lame attempt to cover it up, well I still dont see a big issue. I wonder what the hp was.

That's my point but you don't see the problem?? NASCAR calls all the winning cars in to see what they pull on the dyno and JGR pulls a stunt like that?? High tech cheating is one thing like when Gordons magnesium suspension parts caught on fire. Or the movable trunk lids................Or the expandable fuel cell 8) But putting shims under the gas pedal to prevent it from reaching full travel during dyno testing??? SHeesh!! :roll: I'll bet someone at JGR ends up with a foot up their ass

I don't want to get into the NASCAR VS other forms of racing. I like just about any type of racing. NASCAR has a HUGE fan base so they must be doing something right. F1 is a bigger soap opera.

I myself like to go to Louisville, Ky. cross over into Indiana and watch figure 8 track racing. Guys out there on the track laying it all on the line to go in figure 8 laps meeting in the middle full throttle. Some slow down others speed up. Some just smash the hell out of them. 90 to 100 mph full contact. To watch a race and not say oh Shit at least 20 times during a race, when you know someone is going to crash like hell. Is hard to take!!!! But these guys love what they do. And they do in well!!!!!

Some other racing I like is dirt track oval and some black top late models. Usually at Richmond, Ky. or Bardstown, KY. Usually go only once or twice a year though.

Stock car racing was truly my favorite racing, back when cars looked like the ones I drove daily. Maybe Nascar will do a 40 year retro race so I can see some good old 68s hooking up, getting light, slipping sideways, jumping the railings, and going into the pits and taking a hammer to it ,beating that shit (steel)back out buffing if off and running some more. When putting the bumper to something meant your were pushing them not tearing the front end of the car out or lifting the rear wheels. Literally shoving their shit out of your way. Hammer time baby lets do it old style. AH THE GOOD OLD DAYS, When men were men, The King, The Intimidator, The old Bootlegers, Junior Johnson, Nascar has not been the same since Jeff Gordon showed up... And If you can drive 400 or 500 miles and crawl out of your car and turn a back flip, SON YOU AIN'T DRIVING HARD ENOUGH. Leave that extra energy on the track!!! RICKY BOBBY, RICKY BOBBY AT LEAST HE LIKED TO GO FAST!!!!
When driving 400 or 500 miles left you so tired and sore your crew had to help you out of the car from exaustion, heat, nausia from carbon and smoke fumes, blisters on your legs and ass from the heat and bumping. Oil in your eyes, and pitting only when you saw the sign or had too. Who ever thought up compitition yellow flags must have been a fag!!! Nascar SUCKS!!! Hey where is the next race??????????:lol:

this is like a gold medal for the engine builders because they did their job. they are paid to find new things to make the motors as fast as possible and they were doing it.

this has nothing to do with what motorsport is better, this is simply someone trying to dupe a racing organization. they showed little if any respect for the sport ( in my eyes ) for trying to alter their numbers. if you know you can produce that much power then do it and show it, make the competitors step their game up. if the sanctioning body says slow it down then at least you know and they know what can be done.

other problem though is if they let a manufacturer have that power then the other 3 whine about it until they find some themselves.

Not really, their cars technology is much higher, running things from alternative fuels to fuel injection and various people are running fuel efficient power adders like Turbos.

Easy on the drag racing now! I have yet to meet a guy who won't take a drag challenge? Don't tell me you have never raced anyone on the street? Ever? 3 second quarter miles! Thats a far cry from doing circles! And NHRA safety is among the best. But it's a little harder to protect someone doing 300MPH+! And it is run what you brought in drag. Maybe it's because I have a drag bike and run Prostar...? IDK....

Actually all paint schemes have to be submited to nascar for approval before running on the track.

As my username indicates I love nascar and all forms of racing but it has steadily been going down hill since the death of Earnhardt Sr. I have been saying all year that there was no way the Toyotas were that good legally.
