haven't run my truck in quite a few years and all my battery packs i had a junk and won't charge anymore.

i got a super brain 969 and tried charging them at a low rate and steadily increasing the charge amp's but no luck..

this is for my TXT-1 with a novak super duty xr. couple of 540 motors and two servos.

what's a decent battery i can run with this setup

I would suggest you explore the lipo option instead of sticking with NiMh batteries. Once you go lipo you wont go back.

With your current setup you would need a lipo alarm for your lipo batteries or something like the Novak Smart Stop lipo cut off device and an inline lipo balancer for your 969.

If you do a search of the electronic section you find 100's threads about making the move to lipos.

actually found the more detailed spec page on the ESC. the one i found before was the page where they were selling it so information was vague.
Super Duty XR High-Voltage Reversible ESC

looks like i can use 2 or 4s lipo's with it just gotta find one of there SMART-STOP LI-PO CUT-OFF's. found one for the 4cell configuration on ebay. now just gotta find a decent battery.

found this thread on here...mines not a crawler but the battery info should apply.
