Need some motors for your MOA? TorqueMaster Pro 540- Matched Sets

How is your current supply of matched 35T's? I assume this is the recomended set for the Bergs as I see alot them out there. Also what is the best all around timing to order these at? Looking for a sweet blend of power and longevity as well. I'm interested in ordering soon.

I have about 5 pairs left. 35t is the most popular for bergs, that is what I ran on mine mostly.

I would recommend about 6 degrees of timing, although with the standup brush you can get away with zero up to about 15 degrees. The standup brush is a good blend of power and longevity. If you want a bit more punch we could use a laydown brush or go to a 4mm web with larger wire diameter. Typically I just keep the 5mm web with 21awg wire and standup brushes on the site. The differences in construction make small changes in power overall, and I see no need to confuse people with 10 different builds that are all about the same.

I have Berg axles and I'm looking at getting a matched pair of your 35t brushed motors. I'm wanting to know what timing you would recommend. Why have 0 timing verus 6? How would you break in your motors? Thanks
 
Running 0 timing is generally done when the user wants lower power. On the 45t and 55t motors it works great. On the 35t motor it tends to wear on the comm more than 6 degrees. 6 degrees of timing is a good compromise without having too much power and risk of high stalling amperages. Higher timing will wear the motor faster, lower timing wears on the motor slower IF it is a slow enough motor to keep arcing to a minimum.
 
I run them in around 3.5 to 5v depending on the wind for 6 minutes, and then for non serrated brushes I do another 5 to 7 volt run for 2 minutes.

Pro motors have serrated brushes and don't really even need breaking in, but I do it anyway.

So how do I set up to run them around 3.5 to 5v for break in? I'm gonna break them in since you said you do it anyway
 
hi john ..... got me a set of your 45T matched pairs ..... i'll be running them with mamba micro's on 1200mah 3s lipo ..... any idea if i'll smoke the micros with this set-up?
 
I'm guessing about 4 to 6 weeks. I don't have any fresh teardowns to build new motors with, and am waiting on Sagami to make them. We had more of a rush with Nats and the XR10 release than expected.
 
I"ve been looking for a motor set for my Bully, I've been wanting to try a 35t/40t combo or a 30t/35t combo using the same pinions to combat stall.
I've used some popular but cheap brand motors in a 35T/45T combo with a different pinion for the rear with good success, but I want better control and power.
Is a set like the 35T/40T a good thing? and could they be made into a package combo?
 
35/40 wouldn't be a bad idea. I personally don't like running motors like that, but if you have had success I don't see a reason to advise against it.

I don't have any motor combos right now. Just pick them up individually. I will be getting more motors done tomorrow and will update inventories.
