New axial parts

The only thing I might be interested in is the hardened ring/pinion gears. I'll wait until RCP has the cvd's for it and some aluminum c's and knuckles....i guess they are aluminum...

I think by getting the "Upgrade" parts, it will still give it that stock look.

For me, building a crawler with "factory" parts is not as much fun as using a dremel and a saw, using your own ideas!

Im in no way trying to bash on these parts or anyone that uses them. What is good for one may not be good for another

I do like those bent links. However, I would prefer some custom delrin ones over the axial aluminum ones.

for you re info you can bend the stock links youre self with a set of pliers that is what i did

However you just changed the length. The new optional parts use the same length as stock with the bend figured in hence they are longer before being bent.

In the assembly book: straight links 96or 8.5mm... bent links 101mm,30 degree bend. some tube, and a vice and it's real easy! about 10 or 15 minutes a link. save some $$ and try it sheap before you buy the purdy ones:-P

$22 for 4...

$10 Tube Bender, or $20 vice, Tube ~$5, 3mm Tap ~$10...

I'm going the cheap way...
