New Axial scx 24 deadbolt

Well we know it's 88t so assuming the same style armature the magnet strength is something to consider, I know the RC4WD motor 030 has more turns, however it doesn't have work gears so the 88t may be a decent match. Swapping to a 050 could be better if it had more magnets or the right wind, you can get away with a few less turns on longer can motors

Since you guys are on the motor topic, would slapping a couple of extra rare-earth magnets on the outside of the can increase the motor's magnetic torque?

Its been done before on the Losi motors in a 1/24 rally/SCT to pickup some speed. It seemed to work ok.

I talked to my LHS owner, he said he will get these in by beginning of June. I might get one, I have to see it in person tho.

Maybe I’ll put in the 050 Mabuchi motor if it will fit, but the bolt pattern is opposite.

I saw a few people in the Facebook micro group say that they received a notice about their pre-orders - some will have them this week. [emoji4]

sweet, I'm saving up now for it. I have to forget about it for a week before I'm able to get it locally. At least I have something else to run in the meantime.

My RC4WD 030 that came in my RC4WD blackjack had a motor plate on the top of it. I was able to flip that over to mate my 050 to my blackjack.

Hopefully this one will have that same motor mount/spacer thing my blackjacks 030 came with.

The motor plate is indeed metal, however the setup is closer to an Ambush/Losi transmission than a Mini Gelande as far as how the motor mounts up.

FYI the Mil Stone brass weight wideners for the Losi micro crawler fit perfectly!

AHHHHH!!! Now I have to reconsider everything!!! Do I want to drop a third/4th of what I am working on saving for a 1/10... or do I get this and delay the biggin? I really like my Coyote Pup, except for the nasty torque twist, and love my Basher Rocksta (even though it's slow as a snail) so I know I'd like another... decisions, decisions!

So far I would take this over the coyote pup MSA-1E, I have two of them and there is no denying the motor is under sized. It easily gets hot and stalls out.
Also for $10 less this has 3 channel electronics and bearings which Carisma cheaped out on in favor of bushings.

uggg... you're not making my foray into 1/10 crawlers any easier!!! I agree the motor is undersized or it's geared too high. I thought the "3 speed" feature might be more than just a throttle damper, but alas no.

If this had only come out a month earlier.
