New Axial "working on something fast"

I am a jeep fan....so I don't mind them releasing more lol. But I do understand and respect others views. They have some major licensing debt to fund and that is why jeeps are their bread and butter, and need to sell a ton to make up for that. But I do agree, different body options are a must. I am almost afraid to continue my "sort of" ultra4 build, only to have them release a ultra4

Cheers
Wade

I'm sure they paid that off a long time ago. I can't imagine they still owing on it...3 current jeep models and a 4th on the way...

Licensing fees aren't a one time deal.

for all the promotions and giveaways my client has (and its alot) whatever products we feature are always agreed to on a case by case basis from that company.

itd be neat to know the details of axials relationship with heep and psc.

Yup. From a cost/benefit perspective, they could get 3-6 different vehicles from two IFS/SRA chassis

-3 vehicles based on the old SCX axles
-3 vehicles based on the new Wraith axles

Only new tooling needed would be designing the chassis. Everything else is from the existing parts bin EXO front end, possibly a new front bulkhead and A-arms to match the width of whatever rear axles they plan to use.

Anyway, just speculations from all of us at this point.

Good guesses. "thumbsup" I want IFS/SRA, U4 type rig(s) that's not a POS replace everything like the Twin Hammers junk...nice looking but very poor quality and execution! :lmao:

Those color schemes in first post are all pretty lame looking.

It better be worthy, tighten up the tolerances on transmission and axles this time Axial!

it'd be nice if they made their products to the same standards as, say, Team Associated....top shelf right out the box. Sure, lot's of upgrade parts, but at the end of the day, they're really not needed.

Amen to that!!! "thumbsup"

Casey Currie just posted this on his FB page.... wonder if the new Axial rig is based on it.

OMG THAT's FUGLY!

yeaa!!
they said fast??

much mlike mcdonalds getting a effing coffee!
sit in a drive-thru for 20 minutes cuz thet wont divert traffic to the side while they wait for orders.

Judging by the paint "schemes" it's gonna be a Harley themed rock bouncer.

They're waiting design it based on this thread perhaps. Where's my turquoise pink & grey "Harley Bouncer" Damnit Axial!!!! Oh make it 6s capable please.

Yes they are...Well they work three ways. One way you pay a one time fee to use the name, likeness, or both. The other kind is you pay a fee for every item sold with a up front one time fee. The last is you pay them a fee for every item sold. I used to work for a company that sold their name and likeness of the machines we built to an overseas company that made models of them.

Precisely.

Team Associated makes more money in one week then Axial makes all year"thumbsup"

T/A has been around WAY longer and has a MUCH larger market. Thats like saying Pit Bull or WARN makes more money in a week than YOU do all year.

Irrelevant.

Either way, the marketing strategy is still a sound one.

Your argument was that Axial had to put out questionable quality in order to make money on replacement parts (ei the auto industry) and my counter was that T/A products are top shelf right out of the box and rarely need to be replaced or upgraded, but yet, they're on solid financial ground...so yes, it's relevant"thumbsup"
