New Axial "working on something fast"

No, I am probably not right, but just saying. Axial started out with Nitro. The point was for how it could go off topic. Well throw a curve ball. I mean they still do sell Nitro parts. they don't have any Complete motors listed as products. BUT you never know.
 
Don't care what they make as long as I can still find AR60 axles on ebay. And for those of you all excited about "something fast," this is a CRAWLER forum. Go buy a nitro buggy and a pack of Hello Kitty panties or something. The next time I hear someone on here say that they are looking for more speed, I'm gonna... I'm gonna... I'm gonna...

I'm always looking for more speed without sacrificing crawl-abilty. Why shouldn't crawlers be fast?
 
I don't know. I don't need speed. It is really hard to introduce speed without compromising "crawl-ability." Without fail, when I'm out crawling and joe public walks up, his first question is "how fast is it?" It really pisses me off. This thing just crawled straight up a gnarly rock face, defying physics the whole way and all you can think to say is: "how fast is it"?!! How terribly american of you. Dude probably likes muscle cars or something stupid like that. To me, finesse is everything. That's why I'd rather drive a Lancer Evolution than a Saleen Mustang. Who gives a crap how fast you can do the quarter mile? What impresses me is how many Gs you can pull through a corner. Hell, I can do the quarter mile in 9 seconds by driving my 98 horse-power Honda Fit off of a 400 meter high cliff. *end rant.*

My new response to that question is "if it were fast I'd be hauling ass across the parking lot, not slowly climbing up all these big ass rocks".

I am also tired of the whole how fast is it questions. If my rig's top speed is a little faster than walking pace i am happy. If i wanted to go fast I would have my CC sidewinder 3 equipped Slash on 3s running instead.
I am a little more of a well rounded guy i guess. I don't think muscle cars are stupid. I like a well built straight line monster. But i also like a car that will plaster you to the door in a corner to. Give me a Mustang, Cougar, WRX, Scirrocco, or an Elise any day and Ill have fun.

A honda fit at that. It's like a normal ricer econ box but smaller and slightly less heterosexual. :lol:




Personally I don't get worked up by the "how fast does it go" question when running a crawler. I just tell them you're pretty much looking at it. ;-)
