New Axial "working on something fast"

Looks very cool...But the one pic, why bother. If they are going to show us, show us! I'm not a child and I'm not going to get excited about half a car.

Yes, just show us the car...I'm interested but I don't buy stuff just cause I saw one half of a picture!!! :flipoff:

I totally agree, but I am still probably going to buy whatever it ends up to be...

Unfortunately, I am only sixteen and just bought/built a rally car based off of the Durango DESC410 platform, so I can't buy anything for a while... On the other hand, the rally car IS insanely fun to drive, so it will hold me over until I can get a yeti...:x

Sweet rig! I don't understand swapping the included parts out for scx axles and 1.9's though. Don't fawk up what is potentially a perfectly good vehicle from axial, just start with a rig that sucks already and put those scx axles in a turd hammer. :flipoff:

Looks very cool but are they raising the price $10 each time. It's creeping closer to $500 each release. IDK, I think $400 is plenty for an RTR plastic fantastic. Still nice to have something new. But the one pic, why bother. If they are going to show us, show us! I'm not a child and I'm not going to get excited about half a car. Hey, at least it's not a Jeep. Not that I mind a Jeep, but paint stickers and tires are not a new release.

And I don't get the joke with either the Wraith or Yeti name.... throw me a bone?

If the rumors of brushless + 2 speed + steel trans gears are true, I think the slightly higher price is perfectly acceptable.

Price most likely reflects that it comes brushless. I can't wait for a kit version so I don't end up with stock electronics in a drawer somewhere, that and I like building things. Never been much of an RTR guy...

These, already available "thumbsup"

Since you are one of the only people "in the know" that is active in this thread, will this 2 speed transmission be compatible with the wraith? Has it been tested on 4s?

Hey now that fine publication had some good articles! Actually I wouldn't know, but it's been said in truth and in jest. At least RC magazines are about RC! I have to read Rolling Stone to read intelligent political commentary! Looks like they're buiding a Twin Hammers that actually works.

I'm wondering if it fits under the interior, if it has the same mounting pattern, and if it has a front output that uses a driveshaft.

its the same mounting pattern that would be awesome.

im excited as hell to get one of these. and rtr just means i get to see it put together and fiddle with it a bit before tearing it down.

Werd. The extra electronics leftover from swapping in bigger badder parts just mean I'll need to build a rig to put them in.

I haven't been in the hobby as much as I'd like and recently sold my honcho since it just sat. It's funny I was hoping something like this would finally pop up from Axial since I wasn't a huge fan of twin hammer after getting one.

This looks alot better for what we wanted an IFS style ultra4. My only is I wish axial would actually offer a full RTR with batteries and charger instead so people can buy it as is. I've always been off on the battery/charger side of things in anything I bought.

IMHO, Axial is better off selling their kits like they have been (without the charger and battery). I think it is better without the charger because you won't pay an extra $50-$100 for a crappy-a$$ charger and so-so battery. Besides, most people already have a few batteries. I would rather be forced to buy a better quality charger and battery than deal with an RTR setup.

Yup, if they included a battery odds are it'd be some craptastic nihm with the cheapest pile of trash 2 amp wall charger possible with a tamiya plug.

Personally I'd see more use in them having a recommended spec for the battery and charger for the noobies. Keep the price down and help those that just don't know that haven't found this place. ;-)
