Yup, if they included a battery odds are it'd be some craptastic nihm with the cheapest pile of trash 2 amp wall charger possible with a tamiya plug.





Personally I'd see more use in them having a recommended spec for the battery and charger for the noobies. Keep the price down and help those that just don't know that haven't found this place. ;-)

There is that too, they kind of leave it wide open for folks which is good and bad.

We all know this will be a true kit at some point soon after. So I'm it against having to buy something extra, just would be nice for some like Twin Hammers had upfront but for the masses it's more of a pain than it's worth.

That is still a lot of teensy ass hardware (that strips easy), on a rig that broke almost every time I used it. How many times have I dropped the tranny in my Wraith? Once to swap out the stock motor, and then I put four screws back in the skid. I'm not the only person that got fed up with taking the TH apart, so there must be a LOT of bull going on.

Price most likely reflects that it comes brushless. I can't wait for a kit version so I don't end up with stock electronics in a drawer somewhere, that and I like building things. Never been much of an RTR guy...

Building is over half the fun!
And I can completely understand how it goes together and works... so I can think of ways to improve it and foresee potentially problematic things.

Sweet rig! I don't understand swapping the included parts out for scx axles and 1.9's though. Don't fawk up what is potentially a perfectly good vehicle from axial, just start with a rig that sucks already and put those scx axles in a turd hammer.

Different classes of U4RC racing. I can see a lot of people wanting to use this against the TH. Also for the scale factor...I know it's only a side shot, but 2.2 looks big to me. I don't think I'd go with a smaller tire/wheel combo, but I can definitely see myself going with a bigger chassis.

That's all personal preference though, and I can't really say for sure what I would do until Brandon zooms out a bit on his avatar :mrgreen:

I'm excited to see this and purchase. Having a built wraith , exo, and 3 scx I think it's time for a new rig in the stable. I had a twin hammer for about a month and it was cool but not axial cool with compatible parts. Seemed like the more axial parts you put on.. the better it worked so I ditched it and will start with all axial again...brand loyal...hell yes..

Sensored? If so, what ESC?
Two speed trans, does that mean Axial will have a new 3 channel RTR radio?
I'm sure they will have come up with a new steering servo since the last one (at least the one from the EXO) was such a steaming pile of $#!t.
It has been brought up, but if the trans has the same mount as the current that is huge.

These things alone could be great news for Axial IMHO. Not that most of us run RTR electronics, but it goes to show how they can adapt any of these parts into the current line up.

1: the stock exo knuckles would not clear 2.2/2.2 standard beadlocks correct? they had to be 2.2/3.0?(or maybe internal beadlocks would fit? ie larger inner diameter) if so that means this is not just the stock exo front right? at lease new knuckles? can any exo owners confirm this?

2: no spare tire? hopefully theres a mount at least

3: why is the front wheel nut blue?

The servo in the new falken scx jeep is all metal and i think 150 tork

Cory I am running your 2.2 Gordon's on my Exo they did need a little Dremel magic to clear with the VP SLW 225s

No one is refuting the existence of the 2 speed, just it's status out of the box.
