New custom chassis

I've made a new custom chassis based in the world famous Bender's SW1 dimenssions, nothing high tech just did it to look different "thumbsup"

This is not a vendors feeler thread, I don't machine custom parts for other people, if you need a good chassis buy the Bender's "thumbsup"

started polishing today, damn that's more difficult than I though :lol::lol::lol:, tomorrow I'll make a second polishing session. Shreck this chassis is for your old boy, and yes Bender I'm planning another crawlspelunking session before we have the first snow fall if I recover from my back ache, unfortunatelly i've not found any buddies to come with me, I don't know why? :lol:

Looks really good. Little too much "design" for my tastes, but to each his own. Nice execution of an idea though. What type of machine did you use to carve it out?

I hear ya on the polishing...I tried my hand at that some time back on some aluminum parts for my super and it was more time consuming than I thought it would be. Not to mention, I didn't really have the correct tools to make the job easy :roll:

Got a good tip the other day to just use water while polishing aluminum. We bought a pulling sled and it had residue of time on it so I started polishing it up. Was getting tired when a buddy suggested I dunk the polishiing pad in water like wet sanding. MAN---cut my time in half and it shined up alot better. What an easy tip. For those who knew this,,,,thx 4 clueing me in a long time ago!!:lol::lol:
