New ideas on how to afford new crawlers.

if you go talk to people and let them know you're just trying to earn some extra cash and ask what if anything they have to do around their place Im sure you'll get some work. I know Id pay to have my gutters cleaned out, car washed, grout/floors cleaned.

Would you pay to have your car waxed? seems like you could make some good $ that way, think?

That brings back bad memories....

Stacking hay on a truck then into the loft of a barn for less than $5 an hour...that will put hair on your chest.

Im still the little guy and I can still out work the big guys and last longer than them.
Enyone that thinks it isnt hard work hasnt ever done it for a whole season

I guess laws have changed quite a bit. I'm 38, not super old aut I started working leagaly with a paper route at 12 and I worked in a grocery store at 14. All I needed was "working papers" signed by my parents. Your motivation is great! But I'm pretty sure you can work a regular job at 15 if you chose to.

Hay halling, A little late in the season but that And feeding livestock.
I always made good money doing that.

yup i move a lot of hay every year.. some for us and some for my neighbour who is in his late 60's with plastic hips so he cant do alot.. he pays me $20/hr to haul hay.

i've also gotten a lot of other work from him too like fixing fences, rebuilding patio's etc..

there is lots of good info and ideas in here.. i agree go to the old folks first if its hard work sometimes they pay a little more.. figure out a reseasonable hourly rate and go with that to start.

yes at 15 you can get a real job, at least where i live you can...

Im quite a bit older than you and here is some of the stuff I have been doing the last 2 years while looking for a real job

Cleaning gutters
Bleaching driveways (you know getting rid of oil stains and crap like that, find people selling their home and while your there offer to do other stuff)
dog walking (find people who go on vacation and want the dog more than just fed, if the dog loves you when they come back you will have lots more work from them)
work on rc's (hit up the LHS, some times they have jobs they wont do or are to busy for)
Paint mail boxes

I do a lot of other stuff like welding and mechanical work too but that's not going to help you much, I actually make better money on the little jobs

Good luck and I am glad to see your ambition, if more young people had that around here I couldn't survive let alone pay my mortgage ;)

Yes I would. Just be mindful of peoples property while you're working. You dont want to wax a car and scratch it. Then you'll be paying out more for repairs than you've earned all week. Its a risk, but its alot safer than cleaning out gutters. Wash and wax, you bring supplies, but obviously use their water. It'll take you a while, but you could charge maybe $30 for a car, $50 for a ext/crew cab truck or large SUV. Just dont get aggressive with you presentation. Be humble and polite and you will get work."thumbsup"

When I was younger there was "volunteer" programs that actually paid minimum wage. I worked for the Forest Service for a few summers that way. Being a volunteer you could work at a younger age I did it when I was 14, 15, and 16. Might be something to look into.

If you find the right dog owner you can make $100 a day..

I know a few of them with too much money."thumbsup"
