For everyone who prefers their Jeep bodies square and pickup-y. These look much better than the updated XJ bodies coming out of China.

Apparently you can get them off Taobao if you can understand Chinese but I sadly cannot. Guess I'll have to wait for them to show up on Ebay.

haha isn't Chris at GCM kitbashing one from a Cherokee? would like to see what he thinks about this!

looks pretty good and I'm interested to see what people do with these.

The one GCM is building is from JS Scale which is the front of a production XJ body with a 3D printed bed added on. I would imagine the JS Scale version to be more scale accurate but costs about twice the price.

I ordered one for my version 3 Ascender rebuild. :mrgreen:
 
yeah, JS scale, that's it. i couldn't remember the name but i know its NICE quality stuff!
 
Ugh that bed isn't to scale - they just lopped off the rear part of the Cherokee body to make a pickup truck bed. Its still the same taillight and tailgate design as the Cherokee hardbody.
 
Comanche tail lights are completely different than xj (cherokee) tail lights. And on the bed you can see where they took the xj and made a bed you can see the starts of the c- pillar and d- pillar which is completely wrong.

It will be neat to use the cab tho for builds.
 
It looks like they just 1/2 cabbed an XJ. Nice to have another hard body option.
