New Losi Tires! Comp Claw 2.2

I had these tires out for some testing on the Utah red rock over the weekend, and they work great. I didn't feel comfortable competing with them since I hadn't ran them much before hand, but after putting some time on them after the comp, I was wishing I had ran them

The offset lugs seemed to improve climbing and sidehilling, and the extra height was nice. I had some massive diff clearance with the Losi 2.2  I was able to pull right up one spot that I always had caught the rear diff on before. I will definitely be running these at Socalrcrc's comp next weekend

new claws at the midwest 2.2 challenge...

That was indeed me. I will have a complete writeup and a comparison with standard claws as well.

I am more than impressed with the new tires from Losi. Rich and the Losi boys relly did their homework for the new Comp Claw. Many of you saw them at the Axial Indoors and knew right away what they were.

As for the "traction compound" 90% used it after we learned the wall was nearly impossible. Some made it but more didn't. I ran two courses without it and was seriously impressed.

Edit: That picture is before any additives. They were brand new and never ran until that day. I only had time to do some burnouts in the driveway before we left for Omaha.

More to follow.

Damn I did a good job on that paint, lol.

i must say, that these tires worked amazing all weekend. losi really hit this one out of the park, i cant wait to get my hands on a set

oooooooooooooooo pretty paint.

i never realized you had such a girly figure jake :flipoff:

I thought I was a little too manly with the beard, so I toned it down some

Actually, the Del Montess was driving the rig for a bit while I got some pictures. The climb she's on was an impossible bonus line from a few years ago. She walked right up it 3 or 4 times with the Losi 8)

Well now i know what new tires im getting. Props to losi for not making a 6inch tire. These look to be just about perfect size i just wish the wouldve put tread blocks clear down the sidewall like moabs and the flatirons. Having the sidewall lugs really help where i crawl to get thru some of the notches. still gonna get them though cause losi makes the best rc tires period whether crawling or racing.

I wish I had more slick stuff nearby to test on. I've been running them all week in slick, riverbed-type conditions, and they've been really great.

What's funny is that Utah sandstone is slippery compared to most of our granite crawlspots here in Socal

oooo sounds like a good enough reason to visit socal"thumbsup"

I don't know...... I really like the Claws I have, I think Losi is going to need to send me a set to try out. No for real they look good, I have not had my claws all that long and now I'm going to have to get a set of these.

These new tires look great. I've been running claws since they came out and have been really impressed with the traction I get with them. I expect nothing less with this newest version. I am hoping to see an option for non-memory foams though. Cutting the Losi grey foam has worked the best for me.
