New proline tires

Impressive climb on that video! I love all these great new tire options we're getting. I'll have a set of these too for sure. Can't wait to do a KLR, RB XL, Hyrax comparo.

Proline posted this on Instagram:

prolineracing: @johnschultzrc testing the new @prolineracing #Hyrax 1.9" Tire out at Horseman's Center, tires available very soon! John has his Hyrax tires filled with our optional New 1.9" 2-stage foam, also available very soon.

I'm not so interested in the tires but the 2 stage foams are interesting. Some other pics of the tires unmounted show a closed cell insert which makes me wonder if PL will be dropping some CI-esque inserts in the near future.

Nice find! It would be awesome to have more foam options.

Any news one this? Saw them in a PL Hole Shot mag but that's about it...

It's all up on RPP now, tires and foams.

That's great! They look good and the price is right. This should keep the competition honest.

I just realized they're still including crap foams with the Hyrax and wanting us to spend an extra $30 for good foams. So Proline jumped on that nickel and dime boat.

The difference is, they didn't make you pay for "one size fits every situation" foams. They kept the tire price cheap and let you pick your own foams.

Sure they did. The price of the included single stage foams is in there somewhere. Nothing is for free. Remove the foams and take a few bucks off the tires.

Exactly. Stock foams suck 98.3% (roughly  ) since not all rigs that can fit each tire weigh the same or are expected to perform the same way.

Personally I'd be ok with them not including foam at all and dropping the price of the tires $5 a pair but I do make use of the craptastic stock foams sometimes so they are handy sometimes.

My point is this

RB XL-$40 with "super special tuned" foams

KLR-$30 with no foams because F you

Hyrax
Flat Iron XL- $26 with foams
TSL XL

Yes you pay for everything and nothing is free so, you're paying for packaging, stickers, advertising, marketing, etc. I'd love if we could have loose tires shipped to us on the back of a stake truck but that's not gonna happen.

In any case, Proline is leaving you enough money per pair to be able to pick the exact foams you want and still be better off. Truth is, for some, ProLine's included foams may actually work great AND they were still able to keep the price well below the top competitors.

Do you think if PitBull pulled the foams from their new RB XLs that they'd drop the price to $26? No f!€King way. ProLine is trying to throw us a bone while still having the lowest price.

Just placed order for these right from proline (had gift certificate).Doesn't show anything about being out of stock, like on the foamswill update once I get a shipping confirmation.

i caved and spent close to 100 on pitbulls. my opinion on them being too much compared to the competition is the same, i dont like it. but what do i know... its not like im in marketing or anything. ;-)

I have to agree on the bead. Might be a bitch to mount sometimes, but once you get it in there, it's not coming off unless you want it to.

am i the only one who no matter what when it comes time to take my proline tsls off a set of beadlocks the beads are all pinchcut from being too thick? as long as i dont unmount them they hold like a mofo and you wouldnt know the beads are pinchcut. but remove them from the wheel and its guaranteed i have clean and glue the beads back the tires before mounting them up again. never has cleanly cut all the way around, but close.

ive tried to not tighten the beadlocks to the point where they feel snug af, and when i did the damn beads wouldnt hold.

i love the look of the tsls, and i have alot of them and run them, but i HATE the beads.

It is true that ProLine tires are still consistently cheaper than the competition.

Those paying $100 for a set of RC tires and "special" open cell foam are insane.

I have mounted several proline tsl's and flat iron xl's on motoworx beadlocks and axial cheapie plastic beadlocks with out a single issue with cut beads... not sure what else to say....

If you want to get the most from your tires a solid performing set of foams have got to be in them. I figure $75-100 for every set of tires and ci foams. It's just the cost of doing business.

Proline tires are pretty nice but they're seriously missing the boat by not using their soft compound in offroad tires. The g8 compound is ok but not in the top 5 judging by pure rock crawling performance.

I agree 100% about ProLine missing out by not using their race compounds in their crawling tires. I had it in my mind that the new Hyrax would be made from a new compound and I was disappointed when I found out they're G8 compound.

With that being said, the G8 compound TSLs will put some softer tires to shame.

Not to take anything away from the tires, but the rock at that place is like 20 grit sandpaper. Its hard to have a tire not grip there.

If I hadnt just bought the RB XL I would be buying a set of these. They dont look like any 1:1 tire really but they look like they will perform well.

Yes, all that siping and all those biting edges look very promising along with the open tread spacing to help them clear out well. I'm going to try to get a set of Hyraxes with ProLine's new two stage foams to see how they perform together. Guess I need to start wheel shopping again too. I love it!

Well I got a tracking number from proline for my hyrax tires. As soon as I get them I will post pics and mount them. The only other 1.9 tires i have are boggers, axial bfg ko2's and a set of trepadors.

It seems the hyrax is a little taller then the bfg ko2's even though being 4.73(per sidewall. Nice little touch proline put is that there load range c tires with 35psi max when cold.

I took my tsl sx xl's off my gearhead trail kings and not only did they mount up easy not a single cut or pinch along the bead. Now hoping my upperhafty wheels will accept the tsl's just as easy. But the performance is definitely worth the extra effort to mount them up
